I use this product for the very dark circles under my eyes due to allergies. As any one with severe allergies knows, there is no way to get rid of them, so do the next best thing and cover them!! It is a light product that does not rest in those all to wonderful laugh lines. I use this first then blend a little of my foundation over that (lightly). I am one of those people with fair skin and dark circles that won't go away no matter how much sleep I get. This stuff. Okay. Disclaimer - no makeup is going to be perfect but this is close. It stays on forever. It's essentially water proof and rub proof. It does deep into my fine lines but I feel like that is inevitable. I use moisturizer before I put this on and it helps a bit.
