Was a little concerned about the reviews on here about setup, but as someone with moderate experience assembling ikea-style furniture like this at home I had no issues. I set it up by myself tonight and it took about 75 minutes total from unpacking to sitting in the final outcome. I followed the instructions (zipped up in the back of the seat, took a bit to find it) carefully, did not completely tighten any screws until all the screws for the step were in place, and had no alignment issues. I did not need any tools outside of what was provided. It's definitely a very firm chair/bed and I plan to add a cheap mattress topper as other people have suggested, but I knew that before I bought it and it's true to what the company claims. I agonized over choosing the right sleeper chair and this was the result of my research. Backstory: we moved out of our house and were staying at a hotel for several weeks while we were moving state. The room slept four and we had five of us. It arrived in two parts and was easily assembled. My 6’3” som slept on it every night for three weeks until his new apartment was ready. He had the opportunity to swap or take turns with his two brothers but he chose to use the chair bed each night. I chose it bc it has arms so you don’t fall out, it also passes easily for a normal chair. Only one quick, easy movement to slide the foot extension back under the chair and you just lift the chair back with one hand back into the seating position! My son took the chair with him to his one bed apartment so he can have friends stay over. I couldn’t recommend this more highly! ... show more

    • Frustrating assembly!
I bought 2 of these chairs for a reading/guest room. They arrived fairly quickly and are pretty cute. They could be a little softer but they aren’t quite broken in yet so that may change. They also seem decently sturdy and are easy to convert from chair to chaise to bed. Once assembled. I would have given these 4 or 5 stars if not for the complicated and frustrating assembly. The order in which you put the pieces together is awkward and somewhat difficult. Almost impossible without a helper (it does recommend two people). I could have even overlooked that but many of the holes were set just off enough that it makes it almost impossible to assemble, even if you leave all the bolts a little loose until the end. It took me a few hours, several blisters, and some creative language to actually get these things put together. Please, consider your level of patience and your ability to problem solve before buying these! ... show more

I ordered the navy chair for a tv/guest room. It is exactly what we wanted. It does arrive in three boxes, not at the same time. The chair was easy to put together. I did help my husband hold the arms while he attached them. It is wide enough to curl up in to watch a movie. The cushion is stiff but not uncomfortable. No one has slept on it yet, but I’m sure it will be fine. The foot slides out easily to make into a chaise or bed. The back of the chair is not completely covered. I didn’t know that when I ordered. Not a problem for where it is placed. I’m very happy with this purchase and would recommend to others. ... show more

    • Do not buy!
Purchased this chair to mostly use as a sleeper for house guests. Arrived in three boxes and assembly was easy. One of the arm rest panels had a 2" tear in the fabric that the company put a loose patch on that fell off as soon as I opened the box. The tear was well hidden once assembled so I gave it a shot. The cushions are very stiff which is not terrible as a chair. The big problem was trying to use it as a sleeper. The metal box frame has two cross bars that dig into your hip and shoulder when laying on it and makes it extremely uncomfortable. Several of the reviews I read before purchasing said they used a mattress pad to make it more comfortable but it would take another thin mattress to keep from feeling the frame bars. Even a 90 pound teenager could not sleep on it with a padded mattress topper. I attempted to return the item since it said FULL refund in 30 days on the items listing but the company said I would have to pay for the expensive shipping and a 20% re-stocking fee. When I requested a copy of their return policy since it appeared different than the one listed with the product they just offered me a $20 discount and said since it was too expensive to ship that I should try to sell it myself. Repeated attempts to return the item for a full refund were refused by AECOJOY-US. Bottom line, the chair/sleeper is cheaply made, VERY uncomfortable, arrived with some damage and the companies customer service is non-existent. ... show more

I was very nervous about this chair because of other reviews about not having all the parts. I’m happy to report that all hardware and instructions were included in our packaging and, with a bit of elbow grease, everything lined up just right! This package arrives in 3 boxes and I was very nervous when boxes 1 and 3 arrived and box 2 was nowhere in sight. I called UPS and they didn’t have it and I contacted the seller and they informed me it was still on the way. They asked me to be patient and also offered a refund if I couldn’t wait for it. I chose to wait and 3 days later box 2 arrived! The UPS guy and I had a laugh about it when he dropped it by (he had heard about my calls). We are happy with the chair! It will be used in our bonus room for the teenagers to hang out and game and also for when our adult son comes into town and needs a place to sleep. As others have stated, it’s very firm...but I think that’ll be better for sleeping. We saved a mattress topper for it in case our son wants to use it. I’ll report back if we find anything negative over time! ... show more

Love the navy color and look of the chair. Very stylish with clean lines. Love that it pulls out to a sleeper bed however; will definitely need some type of bed topper to be comfortable. I think it’s worth the price but stinks that shipping was a bit pricey. I’d still buy it again. Directions to assemble were fine except for adding the 4 wheels. Watch the assembly video on Amazon! It only takes 1 person to put it together. It comes in 3 boxes so you can carry it by yourself. ... show more
