I bought this almost 3 years ago. It still works as good as new. Just some scuff marks at the edges from use. I use it countless times per day every single day. I mounted it vertically so I can also use it to help stabilize the phone in my hand when I hold it. It did pop off the phone twice after awhile of use, but I just stuck it back on my case with no additional adhesive and its been holding strong for a couple of years now. I was replacing a handgrip with a collapsible stand, which collapsed because of it's soft elastic material. I saw the ESR Boost Phone Kickstand and wondered if it would be durabl enoughe. I didn't want to return to the previous handgrip because it lasted only a few years. I happened to see the Lovehandle as a replacement for the handgrip and it looked like I would be able to use that with the ESR Boost Kickstand, based on where it was placed in the photos. I was correct, both fit perfectly. What I didn't expect was the sturdiness of the ESR Boost Phone Kickstand. It is corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy and very durable. It is also attractive! I’ve had this product for about 3 months now and still find it very useful and use it quite often. The only issue I’ve had with it is by now the swivel mechanism has become worn down and loose. If I try to rest me phone on the length of the arm, it will collapse because it no longer holds the weight. Still usable, but doesn’t work to its entirety. ... show more

    • MUCH better than the Spiegen version..here's why...
The Speigen version which is a TINY bit smaller but not much, doesn't have a variable swing arm meaning it's open or closed. THIS one I say is variable because the hinge is much tighter and will stay at whatever you open it to without closing, it's very "firm" in that regard so you can get that sweet spot instead of an all or nothing basis. The adhesion is amazing and build quality as well. it's metal and KINDA heavy, not in a bad way just that it's quality is superb. The other one is too but again, it'll close or open but no middle ground so to speak. I like Speigen products very well, but in this case..this one is MUCH better for the same price. Each comes with an extra thin sticker in case you have to replace the adhesive part for whatever reason. And this one is a TINY bit longer and wider but barely a difference. It'll easily work with a large phone like the Note 20 Ultra (my phone) or iPhone 13 Max etc. I bet it'd even work with an iPad mini but kinda doubt it'll do anything bigger like the iPad air or Pro etc. Buy one! I bought two. I use the other on a small metal desk clock that had it's "leg" break off the stand the round clock sits on. GREAT clock but I wasn't sure how I could get it to stand again, this did the trick perfectly. If you have say a case you love but is porous like leather, wood grain or similar and not rated compatible, you just apply a TINE very thin line of super glue and you can make it work perfectly. These "legs" make a favorite case without a kickstand, into a kickstand case without needing to buy an actual kickstand case which never seem to be very well made...most of the kickstands are plastic that's painted or extra thick etc. My case is a simple rubber no frills case that's super thin just enough to protect and be lightweight but no kickstand...now it has one. This is the first ESR product that I did not like. I like all their products. The only thing I feel is their pricing is on the higher side. But the quality of their products is so good but this one is an exception. The stand looks very good, compact, functional, and durable. But the main issue is, it does not stick well. It was working as expected on the first day. The second day while watching some video it fell off. It is not at all strong. The glue is super weak. It might work with lighter phones. It did not work well with my battery pack. I do not recommend this product. Update: I'm updating from 1 star to 3 stars. ESR reached out to me and refunded the money. I used Gorilla glue and it is much stronger than the default one. Now it is functional again. ... show more

The item is good it's when it comes to replacing the item the adhesive doesn't work. You will have to email them for assistance on this they said they shipped a new one but I'm waiting to see. All I need was adhesive thank you.

It's a good metal material and, when placed in the right position, can hold your phone both vertical and horizontally fairly well. The stickiness lasts, I removed (my bending my phone case a little so it'd pop off) around 3 times to reposition it and it held just as strongly every single time. It's not difficult to open, so I don't know why one review said it was. The stand isn't too smooth either though, it'll hold its position fairly well. In the end I stopped using it not because it didn't work but because the area I had to place it to have it stand well vertically was hurting my hand. It bulges out past the phone case even though it's pretty low profile so, warning, it might not be the best for ergonomics. ... show more
