Oct-30 2024 ----------------------- FIRST: Remove all tape and then pull the red plug from under the tank. Doing that will ensure your machine runs correctly when you test it, per the instructions. I've owned several lesser expensive espresso machines. This espresso machine is mostly stainless, which makes it easy to clean and a bit more rugged than the cheaper plastic models. Of course, the tank on the back is mostly plastic, but over all I think it's a really well-built espresso maker. The instructions are quite well done, not perfect, but well enough to get the job done. Do follow them as it's important to get your maker set up. The grounds I had for testing were for a coffee maker, not espresso, but that's ok, it should be a bit weak and the color should be off a bit. However, for testing, they'll do. I skimmed the instructions to make sure I wasn't forgetting anything, loaded the basket with grounds, and discovered I had put too much in. After a little adjusting and testing, I figured out the perfect level and reloaded the basket to the machine. Within several seconds, the espresso glasses began to fill, and it stopped towards the end of the "correct time" window. Everything turned out as expected and cleanup was fairly quick and easy. I was quite happy with my first experiment, and I'm going out today to get a pound of coffee with the correct grind. I really like it's controls and how it operates. The controls are fairly intuitive, and the machine has what I would call a loud purr, once it's set up. The scoop/tamper seems a bit... less than expensive... but if that's my only complaint, then I'd say I'm in great shape. It's good to have an espresso machine again, and this one fits in well with my outside kitchen on the RV. I look forward to many lattes. However, the real test will be in longevity. I've never had an espresso machine last more than 14 months. Again, all the previous machines were well under $100 in price, but I expect at least 24 months out of this one if I perform monthly descaling. Anything less will be a disappointment. ... show more

This espresso machine is great quality and easy to use and clean. Makes restuarant quality coffee drinks at home with ease. So easy to make espresso, cappacino, machiatto or steam milk and froth it with the wand and make hot chocolate. I love that you can use the wand for boiling water too, and it heats up in seconds. So you can make a hot cup of tea too, not just coffee. This machine is also not huge. It's pretty compact, easy to move around and doesn't take up a ton of counter space. Perfect for a coffee bar or station. I love having espresso's at home, what a treat!!! ... show more

i just got this coffe machine last month and been use it everyday since. here's what i think: pros: makes very strong expresso, like in cafe. i feel like real barista. touch screen is easy to use, even my grandma can make coffee with it! it's all stainless steel, no plastic, which is good for health. you can make expresso, latte, or cappuccino, whatever you want. my friends love it too when they visit. good size for small kitchen, doesn't take much space. cons: it is overpriced frother is a bit tricky to use, sometimes not enough foam for cappucino. manual could be better, it's bit hard to understand at first. but overall i’m happy with it, really good for home use and coffee taste very fresh. great deal for the price, but could improve some small things. ... show more

Group head dispersion is not great; not all the holes are all used simultaneously, and they create visible channeling in the middle of the puck because there are no water holes near the edge of the puck 2. The included pressurized baskets do not even reach the recommended pressure range. It kinda defeats their whole purpose if I anyway still need to tamp really hard or use finely ground beans... 3.
