Perfect size, really does look good and a tight seal of espresso handle. And what a price! I read about leaks from the steamer… mine doesn’t- but it does shoot out some hot water when you open it AFTER turning on the steam function, but if you open it BEFORE you turn steam on it will not have the buildup of water in tube while waiting to open it. It’s steam - steam is hot water… mine’s not leaking it’s just doing its job. No leaks when steam off and none when “on” but vent is closed… the longer steam is on but vent is closed, the more hot water will shoot out when you open the vent and can backup the tube if too waiting too long, causing leaks out the top tube hole or forced out. (Be careful- it is very hot the longer you wait) Just keep the steam off until you are ready to use it. 👍 Tastes great (depending on coffee quality), clean that steamer with some elbow/Knuckle grease, super easy to use. (For picky people- it is a little darker than the photo.. but I love it- I bought the dark blue) ... show more

Very simple to use, easy to follow instructions for first timers, everything seems to work well too! This is a review of the Laekerrt 20 Bar Espresso Maker. Overall it is a good machine for the casual coffee drinker such as myself. It lacks some of the niceties of higher-end machines, but I don't miss those too often. Good things: Price is very good. Construction quality of the device is great. It doesn't feel "plasticky" and cheap. Heats up quickly for both espresso and steam function. In under a minute I can make two shots of espresso, and in under two minutes can froth enough milk to make lattes or cappucinos. It's a timed function which may or may not be desirable for others, but works great for me. Press the button (either one or two cups) and it starts up and stops automatically. The steam frother also works quickly though was a bit confusing to get right at first. This is mostly my own fault but the instructions weren't exactly clear. Not so great things: It can do two cups at a time, but there's a small delay as the machine recharges steam. This is about 30s to a minute. So once you pull the shots, it takes a minute before it's ready to froth the milk. No water level warning. The reservoir is pretty small and in the back of the unit so not always obvious if you're running low on water. Instructions are printed on the machine itself, but not actually correct. For example, on the steam function the knob has to be turned to the circle until the steam is recharged. If it's on the steam function, it will just shoot out squirts of hot water until the pressure is enough to force steam out. The instructions don't mention this. There are also instructions on the front of the unit that is pretty well obscured by the filter unit. These instructions talk about "First Use" or if the machine hasn't been used in a long time, but not sure what the difference is between these use cases and normal use. Removing the filter canisters is cumbersome. This may apply if you need to switch different grinds that require different filters. For the most part, I'm using only the 2oz canister. In summary, I am satisfied with the machine. Good price and works for my needs, but it does lack higher-end and convenience features that I've seen before. ... show more

I purchased Over 3 months and I am so happy. This is my first espresso machine and I am so pleased about my purchase. I make 2 shots+ a day and she goes strong. Only downfall is sometimes the machine needs a break after frothing for over 2 minutes. Overall very glad I got this machine.

We unpacked the machine and went through the steps for First Use Preparation. The first thing we noticed was the hot water seemed to come out more as steam vapor than a stream of hot water (it would take forever to fill a cup.) We explored more, tried the steam function. It initially put out some steam, which quickly turned to a vapor so fine it was barely perceivable. Finally we tried the brewing buttons (without coffee in the one cup filter). For both buttons, barely any water came through the funnel (portafilter), but it certainly flowed out of the base of the machine: our counter-top was flooded. We tried all these functions several times with the same results. We assumed this was abnormal and concluded we had a defective machine. We are returning it for a replacement, hopefully with better results. We are replacing a 7 year old Breville, so we have some conception on how a good machine should operate. As a note, there was some moisture in the water tank when we first unpacked it--not sure if that has any bearing. The replacement exchange through Amazon was quick and easy, our replacement machine coming later today. Here's hoping I can write a better review for the next machine. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Easy to work. I wish it could do 4 shots since I like my espresso dark black but it’s not to bad. Honestly, the money is worth being able to have the water container in the back. It also has an option to steam, but I don’t usually use that.. Easy to clean Heats up quick! I do think the $50 Mr. coffee machine works great especially because they are able to do four shots at once so you can have a very strong double shot This is more convenient to be able to keep the water filled up in the back. Next time I will look for a machine that can do more espresso at once other than that this works great. Just push the power button two times in order to turn on.. don’t know if everyone’s just like that but mine is. ... show more
