This thing withstands a lot of play. It’s taken at least 20 hours of heavy-duty play (not all at once) with adults and children alike throwing balls (and sometimes really hard). And it is holding up quite well. The game beeper is loud and it didn’t take too long to set up either. Definitely worth the price. My only critique would be that it would have been good to have 4 balls instead of three. When facing off against another person, you always seem to be out of balls. This was a Christmas gift and everyone loved playing with it (from 6 years to 60). Seems pretty sturdy but we will have to wait and see about that. This is pretty close to the size of the two-player hoops you’d find at an arcade. It’s very tall and long, but it does fold upwards. This is intended for indoor use so make sure you have the ceiling clearance. Games can get a little intense as the countdown dwindles and there’s a good chance basketballs will bounce off the rim or backboard and end up across the room. The quality is decent, but the structure will move slightly during games and the backboard hits the wall behind it. Scooting it far enough away from the wall will help. ... show more

I spent over 2 hrs (being careful to get it right the 1st time) using the manual and supplied tools (not the best but they do the job) to assemble the pop-a-shot - I like how the manual used pictures of each parts along with numbers on each part to simplify assembly - Vendor deserves kudos for clear and easily understood assembly process. The unit is larger than I expected but still fine for my basement. I’ve used it 5 times in the week since I put it together, but I cannot ascertain the durability in just one week. I saw a similar unit at a local Target was $50 more than this unit from Amazon (with free shipping). Only one negative - wish the instructions on how to keep score was a little clearer. ... show more

Bought this for our grandsons for Christmas. It is well made. No problems assembling it and the two boys - one 3 and one 8 are both loving it. The 3 year old does need to stand on a chair but is able to muster the strength to hit lots of baskets in a row!
