  • My playing improved
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Standard
I'm pretty picky about my guitar picks (heh), and normally use the similarly sized John Petrucci 1.5 mm "Shield" picks. I've also tried the JP 2.0 mm picks but to me they were too thick and had kind of a dull attack, plus the logo wore off in a matter of a couple of hours playing. After a whole afternoon playing with this Ernie Ball type, I actually like these more. They seem to glide over the strings better, sweep picking is faster and smoother, and they are easy to hold onto. The attack also seems to be brighter and more well defined. Time well tell how well they wear, but for now these are my pick of choice and I am ordering more. ... show more

  • Great for practicing with diversity
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Multipack
Easy hold and explore different sizes to choose the best fitting for yourself. Although with fast riffing and lead playing the smaller sized picks slips. But still a high quality build.

  • Excellent Picks
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Multipack
They feel great. Each one produces a different tone and playing experience. I'm not sure which size is my favorite they all play well. I really like the large shield so far, but once I switched from that to the tear drop, it completely changed the experience. The texture is sort of like that material they use in luxury cars. Its almost rubbery but its firm. No flimsy, slippery, or plastic feel. They just slide from string to string with ease. The color is not actual black. Its more of a dark grey. Not a problem at all but just a heads up. I play a PRS SE custom 24. I use Ernie Ball .009-.042 Custom Gauge Electric Guitar Strings, Nickel Wound, Super Slinky. I play heavy distorted rock, solo / riffing stuff, and less distorted, dreamy reverb stuff. ... show more

  • Hard to get used to but useful to master
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Mini
Picks are quite small so it’s hard to get a good grip but the contouring is really nice of the strings for playing fast

  • Very good pick if you're looking for that tighter bit of bite or snap in your playing.
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Sharp
The media could not be loaded. I like the grip, it could use a dose of dunken's max-grip like texture but not slippery. The sharp design really lends itself to get that hard hitting, snarling, biting, Jeff Loomis pluck. These are 1.5mm in the grip but the edges are beveled like a knife edge. I haven't noticed any loss of punch from this though. I love this pick and will be purchasing more. I wish they offered more thickness options than just 1.5mm Just a bit thick for my small hands. But I still recommend trying them out. I love them! ... show more

  • Nice teardrop
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Teardrop
Just what I was looking for…teardrop pick with some weight to it. Nice substance. Using it for my Eastman mandolin. Will be a re-purchase since picks only last 6 months.

  • They made them smaller
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Sharp
Although these are pretty expensive picks, they have been my go to for a while now as they are the best pick for me. I always play with a 1.5mm and the sharp point works well for me. I also like that they are about the same size as a standard pick, or at least they were. Usually when I'm buying stuff on Amazon I add a pack of picks so I have a nice surplus built up. Recently I bought 2 packs and noticed they felt smaller. Opened them up and compared, they certainly are a little smaller. I didn't realize sick a small change could be as impactful as it has been but it is. I'll stick with them for now, maybe it was just a bad batch. ... show more

  • Very comfortable pick to hold, great for lead
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Shield
Whatever material this is made of, it's great for guitar picks. Super comfortable and goes across the strings fairly easily when strumming, but shines more on lead in my humble opinion.
