  • Super silent motherboard! Amazing!
This was bought to replace the standard motherboard on my Creality Ender 5 Plus. Ordered in place of the motherboard that Creality recommended on their website (which didn’t fit my ended 5 Plus!) and I couldn’t be happier! Changing boards is simple when you watch the right YouTube video and it worked with no issues. We did a comparison before and afterwards for sound difference, and now I struggle to tell when the printer is online and printing, it is amazing! It was incredibly loud before. It has made overnight prints an absolute breeze and the quality is fantastic, my printer prints better than ever though this may be nothing to do with the board, I suspect I’m just so pleased with how easy everything was to put together, and how quiet it is now, that I am attributing the new board to my print quality too. Decent cost, quick delivery, simple integration and no reprogramming necessary! Silent board is silent. Will upgrade my other printers after Christmas! ... show more

  • Great Upgrade for an Older Printer
Color: Black
I purchased this to upgrade an original Ender-3 to a system board that could support Creality's Sonic Pad. The first board that was delivered had an issue that prevented the Z-axis stepper motor from working correctly. Amazon quickly replaced it and the new board works perfectly. It's almost an exact plug-for-plug replacement for the older Creality board so installation is a breeze. The stepper motors are now silent when printing. I flashed it to Klipper (as an Ender-3 V2) using the Sonic Pad's built in setup software. With this board and the Sonic Pad my old Ender-3 is easily exceeding 100mm/sec print rates with great results. If you want a quieter printer, this will do it for you. If you have an older Ender-3 and want to use a Sonic Pad, this is a must. ... show more

  • Works on my CR-10 (with some research)
Color: Green
Ok it says in the description not standard for CR-10, and somewhat it isn’t. I had to use a Dremel to very slightly widen the USB port of my case to get it to fit. There is one port on this board next to the smaller X Y Z ports that is 3 Pins and the CR-10 has a 2 Pin wire in that spot. Just plug that one into one of the two fan ports on the new board. The stock firmware will not work for a CR-10. Th3dstudio.com and YouTube have all the info you need to re-flash firmware using an SD card. The process worked on the first try. It GREATLY reduces noise. When the door is shut you can’t hear it outside the room! Best investment you can make for your printer. I also have in my Ender3 and that is a 1-1 swap. Just plug-n-play, everything is exactly the same and it sinply works when you swap it. ... show more

  • Totally worth it!
Color: Green
I bought one of these to replace my original board after seeing that this board comes with newer firmware and is supposed to be “silent.” First, this board is a 1 to 1 replacement for the stock Ender 3 board and is plug and play, which is really nice. It’s also very, VERY quiet. I’m not sure how much of that is due to my stepper dampers in addition to this board, however, it really is a night and day difference between this board and stock. Unfortunately, the first board I received was DOA, but customer support was quick to work with me, and sent out a replacement. The replacement took a little while to show up, but once it did, everything worked great. Pros: - Packaging was very nice. Board was in an anti-static bag inside a padded box, so it was able to survive the rough shipping process totally intact. - 1 to 1 replacement, just unplug wires from the stock board, remove it from the housing, put this new board in, and plug all the wires back in. - This board is EXTREMELY quiet. I also have stepper motor dampers installed on the X, Y, and Z motors, and I seriously cannot hear them while they’re moving, however, even with my extruder motor which does not have a stepper damper, I still only just barely hear anything if I listen closely. The cooling fans are now by FAR the loudest part of the printer. I am unsure how much of that is due to the newer firmware, and it may be possible that flashing newer firmware to the stock board would have a similar effect. - Customer support was great. They weren’t able to fix the original board but were able to send me another that is working great. Cons: - First board was DOA. I’m seriously happy with this purchase. I was skeptical at first about the whole “silent” claim, and really just wanted a spare board in case anything happened to the first one, but they’re not exaggerating about how quiet this board truly is. Totally a worthwhile investment for your Ender 3. ... show more

  • Not my best experience with Creality.
Bought for an Ender 5 Plus and installed it before ever turning it on. Unfortunately, the extruder driver died after less than probably 30 hours of printing. All I managed to accomplish was calibration prints for PLA prior to attempting a functional print. Halfway through my second functional print, the motor started clicking and then went totally silent. Thinking that it was just a clog in the hotend, I tore everything apart to find absolutely nothing in the filament path. Powered it back on, and heated up the hotend and suddenly it would extrude again. So I tried to restart the print, but by the time I expected a purge line there was complete silence from the extruder again. I went back and forth powering off the printer and swapping motors and motor extension wires, but the extruder driver just works for a few cycles and then won't send drive signals to the extruder. It was a new drop-in Creality Sprite extruder, so I know that the pins and everything are set correctly, as well as my esteps that I meticulously calibrated. I dropped the original Creality board back in eventually, and the extruder runs as expected, just with that horrible brain numbing whine. I'm going to do what I should have done for half the price in the first place, and use a BTT SKR Mini. Shame on me for trusting that Creality products would work with other Creality products. ... show more
