I wanted a device with programmable knobs, sliders, AND buttons to interface with my Roland S-1. The drum pads were an afterthought, but I've quickly taken up fingerdrumming just for fun. The device feels solid, definitely not built like a toy. The menus are intuitive and easy to navigate. It's quick and simple to change a lot of settings at once, and it seems like the designers really thought it through. At this price point, that's refreshing. Clearly I'm really happy with this purchase. The only minor bit of feedback is that I wish there were more colors available for the drum pads and buttons. I took a risk based on one video review, but I think this is a good controller and I have no regerts! I'm actually fighting the urge to get the keyboard now... ... show more

Let’s get the elephant out of the room. MIDI over Bluetooth has latency. Not a lot, but it’s noticeable, and for practice, it’s okay. However, the fact that you can use this with AA batteries is great for on the go. Pads don’t double trigger for me, I think those reviewers need to update their iOS version. I would give this 5 stars for value and functionality. Loss of one star is due to the cordless bluetooth feature is app specific (apparently) Cubase only. Maybe that was in the description but I didn't read it prior to purchase. Nonetheless, it is still very useful with the midi cord. The keys aren't weighted and are about 3/4 size of standard piano keys. I've used it with Finale, MuseScore and Logic and it works fine as long as you have the midi cable attached. ... show more

The little controller feels really solid and looks like it's built well but the pads don't register half the time when you hit it even at half full or low level it's terrible. I bought it to use with koala sampler and it doesn't register right on Bluetooth at all. I'm sending this back because it just is a complete failure. Not only does it seem like there's latency but it doesn't even register the pad hit most of the time. I am using an Android Galaxy Note 20 ultra. So I'm using a high-end flagship phone and it doesn't work well. If Avatar is reading these reviews they should know they need to update that pad sensitivity and get that right then I may buy it again. I bought this on the 6th it's now the 14th and the seller still hasn't sent me my money back would not recommend buying this because you will want your money back and it will take a long time for you to get it. ... show more

So after a month of using the device the pads are much less stiff from use and honestly I find this to be one of my favourite midi controllers for iOS. You are not going to find another pad controller with this much value for the price. I see a few reviews saying they get double triggers and the pads are too stiff so that warrants a lower review I guess. Imo it’s five star quality , Avatar just needs to give us a firmware update with more sensitivity, the ability to use the cursor for midi and banks of faders like the knobs. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. 04/02/24 - while working on a beat the thing freezes and all buttons lit up. tried turning it off and on. that didn’t work. tried to reset. that didn’t work. took batteries out and replaced with new ones. that didn’t work. fun while it lasted, but purchase at your own risk. changed to 1 star. 03/29/24 - Like the title says, got this with the only purpose to use with Koala Sampler on an iPad Pro 12.9 inch connected to a magic keyboard. Reason I mention all of that is because this midi controller is a lot smaller than I thought, and I like it. It sits perfectly over the keyboard and under the display like it was meant to be. Once unboxed, I immediately threw in some double a’s – paired to the iPad… and started midi mapping to the functions I use most in koala. Paired the pads 4 banks, the play and record buttons, the two knobs closest to the pads for sample start/sample end… threw samples on everything single pad just to make sure everything I will be using the most works… and it does. No noticeable latency for me… no double taps… no troubles. So far so good. I’ll be sure to try to put it through its paces before my return date is up and I’ll report back… Pads aren’t bad… a little stuff/hard, but hoping they start feeling better after they break in a little… overall build is surprisingly good and on par with the name brands offerings at similar price range… for what I wanted/needed this is perfect. i'll try to remember to add pics when i have a chance. 3 stars so far. ... show more

Funciona perfectamente, es lo que esperaba, al ser de prástico no trasmite la misma calidad que otros launchpad metálicos, pero funciona muy bien, cumplió con todo lo que yo esperaba. En cuanto al Bluetooth al parecer solo funciona para los programas de audio que trabajen ese protocolo, si la van a usar como en mi casa para programas de contenido, tipo vmix, obs propresenter y resolume arena, el Bluetooth no sirve. ... show more

I’m using with Koala app. Love it. Pads don’t appear to be for finger drummers, but for sample based producers, just fine. I think the pads are great, and I’m an MPC guy. I’ve experienced no double triggers, but the sensitivity is not there for finger drumming. Four faders are perfect for performance fx or bus levels, and knobs for sample start points and filter. When connecting wirelessly, remember this is done in the midi settings of whatever music app you’re using. Not in settings/bluetooth on your phone or iPad. ... show more
