We moved into a new place and I ordered this for myself, but it was much too soft for my liking. My teenager was in need of a new mattress anyway, so I gave it to him and he loves it. It is really soft and I like the hybrid make. It feels like it will hold up for a good amount of time. I know mattress comfort is completely subjective, but I would consider this soft-medium and not medium-firm. It expanded right upon opening. I had it sit out for about 6-8 hours before sleeping on it and it was most definitely at its full 12-inches by that time. For the price, I’d say it’s a great mattress if you like plush. ... show more

These are not a high dollar mattress. So you get what you pay for. But I am impressed with the mattress for the cost. Have only had about 6 months so not sure about how well it’ll hold up but I’m 230lbs and it’s fairly comfortable. A little on the firmer side toward morning but unbearable.

In the beginning the mattress was great. It was comfortable and I slept well, but over time a hole where I slept started, eventually it got so deep that my back started to hurt. I had to replace the mattress after 2 years. Which seems short, since my previous mattress lasted 10 years before I had to get a new one. So I did my homework & found a mattress that fit my sleep needs! As I sleep on my back I needed something firm but also the frequent side sleeper I needed support. With the coils giving me the firmness I need & the softness from the top padding the past three nights have been incredible! This mattress is so soft and comfortable. It feels like a hug when you lay down. I was extremely skeptical when I saw the low price but was persuaded by the reviews. I was leary of mattress in a box options in general. I’m so glad I took a chance! The only negative thing I can say is I wish the edges were sturdier.
