  • High Quality
Color looks better in person. I have not experienced any problems with leakage. Also, no problems with measuring the correct amount of liquid to put in the bottle, as reviewers noted. When the bottle is empty, I simply fill the bottle with water and then pour that water into an empty glass. I notate the water level in the glass, then dump the water out and fill the glass with olive oil to that same level - then pour this oil into the bottle. It fills the bottle perfectly every time without any spillage. High quality bottle. I recommend this product. ... show more

  • Spout could be better
I do love the appearance of the bottle. All of the colors offered in this product are beautiful. I have two colors myself; I gave a third color to a friend, but I'll probably end up getting myself one of the same color as well. I use the Juniper and the Slate daily, keeping my sauteing olive oil in the Juniper and my finishing olive oil in the Slate ("Black Label" to use the Johnny Walker reference). I gave the Figue, but I'll end up getting one for safflower oil, my "unolive" oil choice. The missing star is because of the spout. It's essentially an inexpensive liquor spout available here http://www.amazon.com/RSVP-Spouts-Endurance-Splash-Free-Stainless/dp/B000F7HVSC/ref=sr_1_251?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1356159715&sr=1-251&keywords=bottle+spout The problem is that the narrow tube meant to allow air to enter the bottle and displace the oil during pouring is narrow enough to hold a "plug" of oil, and that interferes with pouring. The issue usually corrects itself while the bottle is upright, but it can be a nuisance. I'll likely replace the pour spouts when I get to it; there are many choices here on Amazon. For those considering the same, check the cork/rubber/plastic sealing collar. Oil deteriorates some materials, and, of course, it makes some super slippery. ... show more

  • Overpriced junk
I was prepared for the small size and the issues with the cork. What I was not prepared for was the constant leaking! This thing bleeds and makes a mess. Awful.

  • Defective bottle slow leaking vinegar from bottom.
I bought one powder white one of these from a different seller which I put olive oil in and works as advertised and looks very nice with clay glossy exterior coat. I did not have any issue with the spout falling out but longevity of cork stopper may fail over time if it is removed to add oil/vinegar. The bottle from this seller was the blue flame which is a great color IMO. After putting vinegar inside this bottle, I noticed a smell of vinegar in the kitchen which is not pleasant and picked up the bottle and it had vinegar on the bottom of the bottle and on the counter. I wiped and cleaned it off thinking it was from filling it up but apparently it was not. A few days later I checked the bottle and it did the same thing with a slow leak at the bottom clay area. There must be a hairline crack that cannot be seen as there is no visible areas on the bottom that are noticeable. Obviously Emile Henry do not test these with liquids prior to sending them for sale and quality control may have let this one slip. Is Emile Henry cutting costs and using cheap labor and manufacturing in China to increase profits for their shareholders/owners? I will say probably but I’m not going to find out. I heard that they used to make quality products but that may not be the case anymore to make more profits over quality of products. Returns are easy with Amazon and can’t complain as I will just order another one and hopefully it doesn’t leak too. ... show more

  • These bottles look and function great! I have 4 different colors now
These bottles look and function great! I have 4 different colors now. I did replace the pour spouts with another brand that I already had and liked, but the ones that come with it work pretty well too.

  • not good
this item is without pourer. So it does not fit well of my pourer. the bottle neck is too small. I use it as flower vase.
