These towels are thin. If you prefer thick & plush, these aren't for you. I like thin towels especially for my hair. I can wrap it up & I don't have to fight to keep it from falling. I put these through the wringer when they were delivered because the return window is so short. I always wash & dry new towels a couple of times when I get them because they put off so much lint & dye. I sent these through probably seven cycles because I wanted to see how they would hold up because of how thin they are. They put off more lint than I'm used to but the color stayed true. I ordered these for the guest bathroom downstairs, so they won't get much use but the color matched. Like other users said, they are thin so I don't think they would last long for every day use. After I opened them I threw them in the wash on cold like the instructions say, but after drying and getting out to fold them they look like towels that someone had found in their garage and used them for a fund-raiser car wash. They just looked old and haggard and beat-down, which is perfect for using in a guest bathroom where you don't want someone getting too comfortable with overstaying their welcome. Please note that I am NOT using these as bath towels. I'm actually using them as a cover for my wicker hamper to keep my cats from clawing it to pieces. The color displayed online is the same as the color you actually receive, which is nice since I was trying to match my bathroom decor. These are light and just the right size. The photos do NOT represent what you get, at ALL. These were on sale for Black Friday, so I thought I'd give them a try, for some extra guest towel options. The photos I have added are of this review brand's towel/wash cloth (grey), compared to another brand I previously ordered. This brand of towels are NOT cut/sewn evenly, so it is impossible to fold/align them neatly. They are flat, cheap looking, and very much NOT "soft" or quality towels. If I hadn't already washed them, in HOPES of a better result than when I opened the package, I would be returning and ordering my tried and true brand (the other photographed) for a few dollars more. Don't waste your time trying to save a few bucks on these... go for the slightly more expensive brands, if you want quality, "luxury hotel style" towels. ... show more

This is my 2nd time ordering these this week! I'm an American USA size L and 5'8" in height with a longer than average torso, and larger than average chest. I can wear a size either way depending on the brand. I don't consider myself fat, but my regular towels do. These "Xl towels" or Turkish towels are to me "Adult Bath sized Towels". "Baby shower gift". "Anniversary present" "Mothers Day Gift" "Home necessity". This is the towel that fits the way a towel should. I bought one as a birthday gift for my mom-she is shorter than me and she loves it! It is so nice to have a bath towel that I can wrap around my whole chest, roll, and the towel stay put. These towels look and absorb the same if not better than our department store towels. They feel a little thinner, but I like that because it keeps it light enough to walk around in. We ordered sets of these "xl towels" from a few different stores. They were very similar in great size and quality. We machine washed and dried all of the towels with laundry detergent to remove excess lint before use. I do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets with towels.
