I bought the LMG-10W to diagnose my 4 ton heat pump that's been tripping out with a high pressure alarm. The tool is well made and the plastic housing is thick and robust. Mine came with a carry case for the hose set, clip-on temperature probes and the manifold gauge. The hoses seem reasonable, not Yellow Jacket or Fieldpiece but it's not in that price point. The hoses aren't low loss but wery little refrigerant escaped while connecting to the liquid line while the system was running and none leaked while connecting to the vapor line. The data logging is a nice feature in the app but if the connection to the gauge is lost the app discards the data instead of saving it. I used the vacuum test and it correctly detected a slow leak. I did not like the black back ground srceen, very hard to see outside in the sun light, but a year later, I contacted Elitech about it and they sent me the updated new set of gauges with day/night time mode and free return shipping lable for my original set. Very satisfied

    • Gauges not working correctly

The gauges are giving the wrong reading and the hoses that come with it are trash, they wouldn't allow the gauge to show any pressure. Giving wrong SC and SH when I compare with the mechanical set of gauges.

Purchased item based on good reviews, either the gauge assembly is defective or the vacuum transducer, have tried getting in contact with customer support to return either for a new unit or a repair, good luck with that, answering machine is what you will get. At this point not sure sending it in will be productive but what do I have to lose $500.00 dollars and an enormous amount of time trying different hoses purchasing hoses. Should have stuck with my gut and purchased fieldpiece. Disappointed ... show more
