I started on my jump rope journey about 6 months ago and while I’m far from being ready to have my own you tube channel, I have made some really solid progress. This is literally my favorite exercise to do. In any event I started out with a speed rope and while it was “okay” it wasn’t ideal for a beginner.I struggled through it anyway and then after getting reasonably “okay” I purchased a 1 lb rope which was intense, but not ideal for everyday use l and for working on different footwork. After much research I purchased this rope. It is literally the perfect rope. The diameter gives it just enough weight so that you can “feel” it but not so much that it becomes a chore like the 1 lbr. I use this with my clients and it's great. I haven't had it very long, so I can't speak to its durability, but so far so good. I like the way it feels in my hands, and it doesn't get twisted and tangled up. I'm happy with this and will likely buy a second one.

Overall a good product. The rope itself seems to be holding up fairly good considering I jump on my back porch which is concrete. I think the plastic on the handles is too soft. I've dropped the handles during my workout and have had indentions in the handles from just a fall. A little high count sandpaper fixed issues but really shouldn't have to do that for a dropped handle. I've tried the longer handles that come taped but didn't like the longer length. I would suggest taping the handles. It makes it way more comfortable for longer jumps but also helps with grip with sweaty hands. ... show more

I was using a cheaper rope for 6 months but decided to upgrade to this one. What a huge difference. With the old one I would trip up every 40 seconds or so.... WITH THIS ONE I COULD COMPLETE THE ENTIRE WORKOUT SESH (JUMP ROPE DUDES ON YOUTUBE) WITHOUT TRIPPING UP!!! I think ot has to do with the handles and weight of the rope! I WISH I BOUGHT THIS FIRST. This is a quality jump rope, coming from a cheaper, more simple rope, this one has a bit of heft to it, but not too heavy. It also has a really satisfying swing when using it. If durability holds up, then this will be a 10/10 for me.
