Overall, worth the price...as in, you get what you pay for. The scalloping at the base of the main shade is just a plastic add-on, and not needed at all. I simply tossed mine. It's nice looking without it. The shades are good quality glass. The switch is a real weak point. it looks as if it is supposed to have a larger piece at the end for you to grab onto to turn it on, and it has threads that would allow for that, but it is a very small gauge piece of round metal that is hard to turn. The pole is made of several pieces which you have to verrrry carefully have to screw together or else you will strip out the threads. It's shaky when you stand it up. I've made sure all the pieces of the pipe are well screwed down, but in an earthquake or any other kind of disturbance, this will be the first thing to fall over. For the price I believe this lamp should last more than 2 years. The knob to twist to change the light configuration has fused and no longer twists. I am very bummed because I loved this lamp.

I like the two smaller lights. The light casts into opposite directions, which softens the lighting for reading.

    • Cannot adjust two reading lamps
This is a nice lamp however the two reading lamps are not adjustable. When you try to move them to a position you want they spring right back as soon as you let it go. Also the little design ring on the bottom of the main light shade is a very cheesy cheap piece of plastic.
