First & foremost, this is my first automatic salt/pepper grinder & so I have nothing to compare it to aside from the grinded pepper & salt shakers that I've been using up to now. That said, this electric mill is certainly a step up from those over the shelf shakers but I do have some reservation. But let's first start with the positives. Obviously the main reason for using this is because food just taste better & you wont need as much salt or pepper in your food but the reason I like this set is because 1) it's convenient, 2) doesn't need batteries & it's easy to recharge, 3) it's very stylish - especially with that window showing colorfull types of pepper & salt, it makes a nice looking addition to my dinner table, 4) it has a ceramic adjustable grinder allowing me to choose how coarse I want my salt or pepper to be and finally 5) looks very premium with good quality - it's made of stainless steel and not some plastic shell that can break easily. And now the but .. not that it's a major issue but still worth mentioning. If you have never used a electric mill like me, then this gets some geting used to. To date I've used the smaller pepper and salt shaker and this looks and feels huge & I'm still not quite used to it. Aside from the size, I also have to make sure how long I press the button as to not let it over grind especially with the salt that was a little uneven. I also wished that its button would've been at its top rather than side (like my electric mixer) since I don't have to hunt for that button each time I'm reaching to use the grinder. Overall, I'm sure that once I get use to it, I may never go back to your salt and or pepper shaker (at home) for all the reason I mentioned above. It's a little pricy but for a rechargeable & a stainless steel mill, it's actuall fairly priced as well. ... show more

This is an excellent spice grinder set consisting of glass and stainless steel builds, with ceramic burr grinders. Burr grinders are well-known for producing consistently sized grinds and outclasses conventional blade grinders in every way. You can adjust the grind size by rotating the dials and selecting the grind level to your liking. It comes with two USB charging cables and a tiny brush for cleaning. For first time use, I suggest cleaning the glass chamber and running the grinder set to medium coarseness with either sea salt or peppercorns to clean and "season" the burr grinding chamber. I'd throw away the ingredients used for this seasoning process. It works quite well and the noise level is surprisingly not loud at all. It grinds extremely quickly so it won't be turned on for long anyways. To close, I really like the build quality and performance of this electric grinder set to highly recommend to others. It's currently on about 20% sale at the time of writing so it's priced quite competitively as well. 5 out of 5 stars. ... show more

Just like hearing it rotate when push the button. The esthetics are okay. Charger on top kind of is a bummer. The clear holder is nice. Easy to charge with usbc , one is providedwhich is a nice touch. Like the blue color when on, feels very futuristic. Fun toy. Absolutely do not need an electric shaker, but fun. The media could not be loaded. Quick to charge (about an hour out of the box) and easy to fill. They don’t hold a whole lot but I prefer that so they aren’t too heavy. Directions say it can take 2 hours to fully charge when needed. Not too bad. I have backup manual grinders these are replacing but I’ll keep them around if they’re needed when these need charged again. Not sure how long these last per charge and that will waiver depending on personal use. These work great and I love the light feature and little acrylic stand they sit in. One hand operation using my thumb for the button and away I go seasoning my food to my liking. Recommend! ... show more

My sous chef friend gave me a package of black pepper that wasn’t ground up, and showed me a picture of this salt and pepper grinder . So I ordered it. Very modern upgrade from the ones we are used to. It takes a while to get used to it but once you get a hang of it, it’s worth the effort. with the push of a button I easily and quickly grind my seasoning to the consistency that I want. The media could not be loaded. I have only used one of them once, but I will definitely follow up soon after having use them more. That said, they seem really nice and I love the fact that they have a light on the inside of the chamber as well as the outspout so you can see how much salt / pepper is coming out. I go over my first impressions of my video, so I recommend watching that and deciding for yourself, but I will definitely follow up again soon after having use them more. ... show more
