    • These gloves work!! Worth every penny.

I have had these gloves for about a week now, and they work great. My hands (especially my fingers) are very sensitive to very cold weather. I have a drawer full of gloves that will not keep my fingers from becoming painfully cold for more than about 20 minutes when temperatures are below 25 degrees F The other day I shoveled the snow in these; an operation that takes me about an hour. Rather than having to come in and warm my hands and change gloves a couple of times, I was able to complete the job without the break, and my hands never got uncomfortably cold. The temperature was 18 degrees F and it was windy. I set the gloves on high for the first 10-15 minutes, then switched to medium. I did not feel the need to change the setting back to high during the task. I also used the gloves on an hour long walk at 25 degrees F and experimented with the different settings. I found that low worked reasonably well at that temperature. I also tried turning the gloves off, and although I did turn them back on, these are probably the warmest gloves I own even without the heater. I should note that the gloves had been warmed from being turned on before using them without power, so I can't say for certain how warm they would be had that not been the case. I have tested the batteries by leaving them on the charger for an extended period (about 80 hours). They did not get hot (or even warm, really). I have not used these gloves for more than an hour at a time so I cannot speak to the battery life at this point. I will try to update this report as I gain more experience with them. I rated battery life at 5 stars based on the seller's claims. I will alter that if my experience is materially less. Sizing: I measured my hand and my wife's hand using a tailors tape, and ordered X-Large and Large sizes for us based on those measurements. In both cases the gloves fit OK, but the fingers were too long. I kept the large size gloves I bought for my wife, and purchased the Mediums for my wife. The large fits me perfect. I know this is runs contrary to what others have said. (ymmv I guess) I had to order the Mediums from another seller as this seller does not offer medium size. I got these because they got top reviews for warming fingertips. Heated gloves that heat your hands but barely warm your fingertips don't help me because my tips are the coldest. These are a little better on the tips but not as good as I expected for such a price jump over what I'd tried before. But what drove me to return these is that though the product description says "Conductive PU on the thumb and index finger allows you to touch the cellphone without taking off your winter gloves," I can't use either my phone or my car display with either finer of either hand when wearing these gloves. Too bad, since I like the gloves' feel, the 3 heat levels, and the battery life display you get when changing heat level. ... show more

These are high-quality gloves and I'm very happy to own them. Even without the battery pack going they are warm and comfortable. When the heat is on, you can tell. I worked outside in 20*F for ~2 hours and my hands felt totally fine. Once it gets down below that though, they are not quite as successful. Outside in -5*F my fingers still got cold, but it took longer than it would normally. These are my first heated gloves, so I'm not sure how it compares. Battery lasts me about 1.5 hours on high, longer on the lower settings. Once they are on they warm up within 5 minutes, but the battery life itself is disappointing. Overall, they were well worth it for me. I have Raynaud's and these have increased my comfort ten-fold. ... show more

The packaging and instructions are better than expected. They function very well. I am amazed how much heat energy can be packed into a such a small battery.
