  • What is the EldonCard: You can learn your blood type in just a couple of minutes using the Eldon Blood Typing Kit. The EldonCard is used or ABO-and RHD blood grouping. The card is perfect for individuals to establish their blood group. The Blood Typing cards are accurate and can be used in cases of emergency, once completed you can cover the card for future reference.
  • Why do I need the EldonCard: Your blood type is inherited from your parents and determined by the presence or absence of certain antigens and antibodies. The EldonCard is made of a special type of plastic upon which dried antibody formulations are placed. The EldonCard is a reliable, durable, and flexible point-of-care blood typing system.
  • How EldonCard Works: The type of antigen you have tells us what your blood type is. While there are more than 20 blood-type systems, ABO and Rh are by far the most important. The blood is drawn by using a single-use safety lancet, which prevents accidental piercing by anyone picking up the lancet after it has been used for blood typing.
  • Where and Who can use it: EldonCards are used by hospitals, blood banks, and blood centers, where it can be used for general blood typing and for Bed Side Testing. Given the flexibility, durability and accuracy of the EldonCard, it can be used outside hospitals and clinics. It can be used at the practitioners clinic, humanitarian settings, remote locations, the battlefield, the classroom, private homes, or in any emergency situation calling for a speedy and reliable test.
  • EldonCard Accuracy: The EldonCard is extremely accurate. It has been tested against the standard blood typing procedure using directly agglutinating antibodies. Tests have been performed at several laboratories in different countries and the results are in-line with laboratory-based tests.

  • Easy, Fast, Inexpensive, Accurate
I bought this kit to do a blood test on one my kids. As a check, I did one of the test on me, as I know my blood type from previous blood donations. I had never done a self-test before, and after watching the YouTube video, it looked easy and it was. I initially thought that maybe the little spring-activated finger poker wouldn't create enough blood, but I was wrong! It didn't hurt, and generated more than enough blood sample for the test. I got good, strong results, and the indicated blood type matched my known blood type without any ambiguity. I know that there are some comments that the test gave an incorrect result. I'd guess I'd have to know more about what they actually did to know if they followed the instructions properly (people don't always follow instructions properly!). Anyway, it worked great for me. I didn't do the full gamut of tilting the card shown in the YouTube video, but I did slosh the blood/water mix around enough to mix it. ... show more

  • Works well!
Simple to use, not much blood is needed. Doesn’t hurt, if you’re freaked out about the lancet have someone else push it for you. Accurate test - easy, fun, and informative!

  • Easy & Helpful
This blood typing test was easy and accurate for my husband and I. The one drawback is that the lancet is pretty aggressive (I would have preferred to do 2 milder pokes) but still, it worked well and was easy to interpret.

  • Easy to use
These were great. The YouTube tutorial was very helpful but the instructions worked good too. Very easy to follow and they worked.

  • Quick, accurate, and cheap
I had a procedure recently that made me wonder whether I am RH + or - even though I already knew my A/B type. I watched a YouTube video on how to use the product. It took my wife and I about 20 minutes to actually went through the testing. The tests produced the A/B types we already knew and provided us with the missing RH +/- info we need. Each test kit comes with two lancets to prick your finger with - one is a spare. It went in deeper than necessary. If I had to do it again, I would avoid pushing the lancet tightly against the finger. ... show more

  • It is accurate
I was hesitating to buy an online blood typing kit. I was worried about it's validity. I bought two test kits and both results came our the same. A few months ago I went to the lab and had my blood tested. My results matched this test kit. It was 100% accurate. Make sure to follow the directions. This kit worked for me. ... show more

  • Product works, but including only a single lancet is short-sighted
The card works as expected, so no problem with that. The problem is that only one lancet is included with each kit. Using a lancet to draw blood from a fingertip is hit or miss. And if you miss, you've wasted the whole kit. You can't reload the lancet and try again. Including a backup lancet would add about 8 cents. My advice is to try to borrow a couple extra lancets before using the kit. Or, do not open the card packet until you know you're going to be able to draw droplets of blood. ... show more
