The lights are nice, bright, and efficient in their use of power. I measured the current draw for one light at 12.8 volts. The current drawn was .829 amps. Yu simply need to multiply the current of .829 amps by the number of lights you intend to install and use at once. You can easily make a light bar or add these to most any area where needed. They are far more efficient than any incandescent lights that you have. These will work nicely on a truck, car, golf cart, boat, RV, or any other place you need a decent 12 volt DC light. The first picture is of my two grandsons who took one of the lights and connected it to a 12 LiFePo4 battery and added a switch. They said they made a great flashlight. What you see is one LED light pod lit up in a dark yard and lighting up a shed about 50 yards away. They decided that based on their experiment that they are going to add two lights to dad's tractor/lawnmower, and a few to their Jeep. The second picture shows the current drawn by one LED light pod at 12.8 volts. The current drawn is .829 amperes. So, if you wanted to a battery operated work light and you used a 20 aH, 12 volt battery, you'd be able to light one LED light pod for over 20 hours. That's not too bad. You could also use these for off-grid lighting at a remote cabin, or anyplace you have 12 volts DC available. These LED light pods come with mounting brackets that are sufficient for their intended purpose. For the price you'll get 10 of these lights and mounting brackets. That's a great deal! You could add some to your SUV, some to a UTV, and still have a few spares to maybe give to a buddy. All in all these are a nice light, especially for the price. I intend to add one to the bow of my Carolina Skiff. I'm also going to add two to my Expedition behind the grill for some extra off road lighting. I intend to add one or two to my outdoor shed at my shore house for security lighting that I'll run from a small solar setup I have. These are inexpensive enough to acquire and give a couple to the kids so they can experiment and make a search light or two. The chances are you won't need ten of these lights, but you'll want to have them. Use some for your intended purposes and then use the others to play with. They're well worth it. ... show more

    • Needed 24 volt lights for my UNIMOG'S crane arm.

I needed a pair of lights for my UNIMOG truck crane while I restore the originals. 24 volts was a requirement. These will work great if I need to use the crane after dark. Plenty of light. Sort of in between a spot and flood light. But it puts a lot of light right where I need it so, they are just about perfect for my application. Installation was a breeze. Connect the hot wire to power and the other to ground. I didn't need the included wire harness but, it looks to be basically plug and play. Well, these lights are meant for off-road vehicles. I will say that they are very bright easy to install and I installed them on my lawnmower so that as it gets darker in the evening, I can continue cutting grass. I Recommend this product

I consider 3 stars an average review, so these are just slightly above average. They would be good on a smaller ATV/UTV, but not at any higher speeds. I did a bench test and the main beam of the light at 30ft was 4ft x 4ft measures against a white garage door. They weaker areas of the light extended well beyond that but didn't provide significant light. With this I used my Simpson multi-meter to measure the amperage drawn by one of the lights as I was confused why most of the wiring is 1 square mm (17 AWG) and there is a 40 amp relay (added by the manufacturer - noted in their comments) and a 30 amp fuse. One light drew 2 amps. Now, 17 AWG at 10 ft is rated at 4 amps - meets spec. Although if there is a short, I am worried the wire will burn up well before you blow a 30 amp fuse - maybe if its a quick blow it'd be okay. I'm glad they did add a relay as that is proper. I don't know where they get their wattage ratings too as 12v @ 2A is 24W per side - 48 total. I also didn't see anything about strobe either. Either way, I like that the manufacturer is open to modifications and upgrades (the metal case is a nice add for heat dissipation too). ... show more

These got 3 stars, as they are definitely not 128 watts. I think the 128 is a misprint and they meant 28 watts. If your close up to whatever you mounted these too you, would be good. But using them for off road driving?? No sorry. The beam cast is far too short for that. Add in that they advertise as strobe. There is no strobe function.
