These remote/bluetooth plugs work perfectly. These operate on your 5mgz WiFi/bluetooth, unlike the 2.4mgz plugs, which require all sorts of proficiency to install. These 5ghz plug in, work in 3 seconds. They can be easily programmed to turn on or off from u phone.

Most older smart plugs in the market use the 2.4 GHz WiFi connection. Typical speed less than 100 MBPS. This used to be the norm. But now the newer much faster WiFi with speed much above 100MBPS to 1 GBPS running on fiber or cable use the 5.0GHz band. Unfortunately there aren't many smart plugs in the market to use this 5Ghz band. That was until I found this EIGHTREE 5GHZ 15A Mini Smart Plugs. I have replaced all my older Wemo plugs (18) with these new EIGHTREE plugs. Super easy to setup. Very reliable. Much better than the older plugs. New 5G router meant I had to replace all my Wyze plug modules. Read reviews and decided to give an unknown brand a try. THESE ARE SO EASY TO INSTALL!!! Way easier than Wyze. Definitely recommend!

I purchased 8 of these 5ghz plugs because of my network. The ones I have won’t stay connected. I’ve tried 2 so far and I’m getting weak network error. I’m sitting 18 inches from my cable router. I thought these would hook right up since my network runs on 5ghz. I’ll read the 1 point font manual again and will report back. As promised I did go back to the manual. After a few failed attempts I finally got 1 to sign on to my network. After that the rest were no problem. Last night and this morning they are working fine. So now that they are connected and working I’ll give them 5 stars! 1 week later… these are so much better than the 2.4ghz. They stay connected, I even changed my phone and everything transfered over to the new phone with no problems. ... show more

I bought these specifically because they claim to work over 5Ghz wifi, they don't. I tried 2 thinking maybe one was defective. No, either they were all defective or they don't actually work over 5Ghz. Either reason they are best avoided
