I want to love this tent so much, and I certainly prefer its pop open and easy set up over the other SUV tents out there where you'd have to fiddle with fiberglass rods that deposit pricklies in your hands. BUT it's not private at all. What's the point of upgrading and putting pvc weather proof covers over the windows but not making them be privacy covers as well? The whole point of getting a SUV / car tent is to extend your car space so you don't have to change sitting down in the car. Now I have to find ways to string 3 shower curtains on all 3 of the faces. As a single woman camper this is not negotiable. BUT other than that, like I said this is the best one out there. Set up is easy enough, even with one person. Just open it and pull the corner out FAST. I needed a step stool to install the roof rods but I think I will forego that step next time. Folding is something to get used to, if you have other pop open stuff like showers or windshield covers, it follows the same principles: fold in half and hold it there while you find the circles to lay on top of one another. It is still quite big when folded up (about 3 feet diameter) as others have said, so be aware for packing. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love the size of this. It's going to be perfect for those rainy, breezy, cold fall days at soccer games & practices! I won't miss a thing being able to see readily out of 270°. I could see this being useful for those cold Midwest trunk or treats too. Comes up easily as long as it isn't too windy. Poles for the roof help the tent hold its shape. Comes with two patches for screen and pvc windows, stakes, and 6 strong magnets to hold the flaps it to vehicle. It fit my minivan well and we moved it to the grass to see how it did as stand alone tent as well. Bugs would have a difficult time making it into the tent and comes with the optional tarp for the floor. It's 75°F outside here today and it was very warm inside. Pvc sides are optional so we rolled them up to let the air blow through. this will be a staple for fall sports for our whole family and maybe even friends! I could see 4 adults and a couple kids fitting well; tightly as 6 adults. ... show more

It's like having a back porch for the minivan!! Comes with a floor and a side wall as well. Very easy to set up and take down all by myself. If there is one downside to this, it's that it doesn't pack down small. It's a big item to carry inside the van. But the simplicity of set up kinda makes it worth it for me as a solo traveler. The quality is excellent as well. The screen walls and zippers are high quality, not the cheap kind. It can stand alone as well which is nice when I have to leave the campsite to go to store or what not. I do recommend it. It's been great addition to my vanlife. ... show more

The newest addition to my Alvantor collection. It’s another winner! Designed to fit over the tail gate of your car/van/suv for camping trips, but versatile enough to put up in the yard. I love how roomy it is. I’ve got the smaller 6x6 screened in pop-up. And I had the 10x10 screened in pop up for several years. Love them all! I like the square shape and the high ceiling of this new tent. This will be a home office for me this weekend, easily transformed with a table, chair and a hook for my fan. These Alvantor products have allowed me so many opportunities to enjoy my yard. They are an affordable alternative to a permanent gazebo. I love the ease of setting it up , but a bit disappointed in how difficult it is to put away, even with two of us doing it. Ground must be completely flat in order for it to stay up.
