Description

Coffee is amazing. It’s no mere beverage. And we believe this just as passionately today as we did when we first brought our gourmet coffee to market over 100 years ago. Throughout the years, we’ve explored new varieties, changed our look, rolled out ground coffee and single-serving Keurig K-Cup® pod packs…but there are some things we’ll never change. For starters, the classic flavors inside our new bags remain untouched. All our whole bean and ground varieties continue to be crafted using only high quality, 100% Arabica coffee. All our roasting is done at our own facility in Maryland, USA, under the expert supervision of master roasters. We take coffee personally. We care about our craft. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

  • Not just for espresso. Inexpensive, great flavor!
Flavor Name: Dark Italian Espresso Size: 32 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I love this coffee & have bought many bags of it! Strong flavor without the bitterness you get from some. Lately I've been using it for cold brew. I like that I can grind it myself & achieve the grind size I want for whatever I'm using it for. Makes really good & affordable cold brew. Due to reflux & a couple small ulcers I've been drinking a lot more cold brew. I like very strong coffee, so I don't dilute my cold brew, which makes it more expensive to make. But this is very inexpensive for fantastic flavor! ... show more

  • Best daily coffee
Flavor Name: Original Size: 32 Ounce (Pack of 1)
The first step is admitting that I am an addict, I do love a good cup of coffee, and I can’t really begin my day without it. Haha. For context, I use a Bunn pourover brewer that I’ve had for about 10 years but I don’t have the palette or the pretentiousness needed to be an expert. I ordered my most recent bag from Amazon (not a 3rd party) and it arrived still vaccuum-sealed with a “best if used by” date that is still 9 months away. All of that being said, while it isn’t the best coffee that I’ve ever had, Eight ‘O Clock coffee is a great, inexpensive, diner-like coffee. I often buy locally roasted coffee for weekends or whenever I want something a little more unique. For me, this ends up being better and cheaper anything that you’ll get at Starbucks. If you love coffee and brew it at home most days, you can’t beat this as a daily go-to. ... show more

  • BEST COFFEE - ONLY COFFEE THAT WORKS ON MY ESPRESSO MACHINE
Flavor Name: Original Size: 36 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Where do I begin. The price of it is absolutely phenomenal at five dollars a pound you can’t beat that deal. When I get coffee at five dollars a pound it’s usually oily crappy dark roast coffee that isn’t good. This coffee is a medium roast or dark roast. It’s a six out of 10 on the roast scale. When you look at the coffee it’s really clean with no young beans Earl beans all the beans are standardized. When you have different colored beans this means the coffee is cheap. This isn’t cheap coffee. Being from the state of New Jersey I’m proud to say this was roasted in my home state and they do a damn good job. This coffee is found in many bagel shops around New Jersey and New York. And Where do I begin. The price of it is absolutely phenomenal at five dollars a pound you can’t beat that deal. This coffee is found in many bagel shops around New Jersey and New York. And I am proud to drink it. I have tried at least 20 coffees on my SAECO Xsmall espresso machine. This machine is supersensitive and if the beans are too oily or dunk rain well even after adjusting the grind. The machine clogs up and then you have to take the whole machine apart. It’s one of the best espresso machines I’ve owned but it’s very selective on the kind of beans you want to use. I’ve tried 20 different brands going from coffee at $40 a pound to my local Winco store that sells five dollar pound of coffee bags which are oily and cheap. Out of all 20 coffees. Only two worked. PYK coffee and EIGNT O’CLOCK. Everything else clogs up the machine either it’s too oily or artificial flavors are added or the coffee is just cheap coffee and sold at a high price. I even used very overpriced $40 a pound Starbucks coffee from Rwanda and it clogged up the entire machine and the espresso tasted like garbage. I even tried a Starbucks blonde roast which is supposed to be a little dryer and it still clogged up the machine. Any Starbucks coffees that I used with clog up the machine and break it and I’ll have to replace parts. But this coffee 8 o’clock. Does the job. It doesn’t clog up the machine. It cooks really well. When the coffee PUCKS come out. They all together and they are in one piece where I can lift them up and feel them. Because of this you can tell the coffee is good. When are you Starbucks coffee or any other brand of the 18 brands I’ve tried The coffee would either break apart in the internal machines mechanism or it would break apart when dumped in the drop drawer. Which tells me the coffee is oily and low quality and it was roasted too high of a temperature and not slow roasted. Which this means the coffee was roasted at a high temperature and all the oil’s were pulled out when roasted meaning you don’t get a lot of caffeine and you get a crappy burnt cup of coffee like Starbucks. Even though this coffee is cheap don’t judge the price. The price is well priced for what you’re getting good quality cup of Joe nothing too crazy. And the people that say taste like mud those are the people that want to drink hazelnut latte is filled with a bunch of sugar and garbage artificial flavors. To describe it it’s a good cup of New Jersey coffee that you would have the bagel and cream cheese and it works amazing my espresso machine I’ve been on the hunt for a good coffee for the last three years and this is the one that really makes the deal. My espresso machine has pull 200 shots of this coffee and not once has a clogged up and not once have I had to replace a single part because of this espresso machines ability to use this great coffee. ... show more

  • Great Taste!
Flavor Name: Medium Roast Size: 21 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I really liked the taste of this coffee. It wasn't to bitter and smelled fresh. I wish it wasn't priced so high :(

  • Great coffee
Flavor Name: Colombian Peaks Size: 38 Ounce (Pack of 1)
As I have traveled through the USA and 15 other countries (many of which are coffee producers) I have tried many kinds of coffee; both expensive brands and moderately priced. Some were award winners. 8 O-Clock coffee is still one of the best around, has a rich and bold flavor, and the medium roast is actually a medium roast, (unlike some other brands who pass off burnt coffee as "medium"). I have purchased 8 O-Clock for years. I like both the original and the Colombian varieties 8 O-Clock offers and often switch between the two. I purchased a coffee bean grinder last year and started buying the whole bean. Whether whole bean or already ground, this brand is among the best you'll find. Try it. I think you'll like it! As a bonus, you'll pay half the price. And in the last couple of years any savings is important. ... show more

  • Great taste
Flavor Name: Dark Italian Espresso Size: 32 Ounce (Pack of 1)
very strong with a satisfying taste. Do not, however, use it in an espresso machine since the beans are oil and could be a problem for the machine, otherwise I use a burr grinder and use the coffee as a pour over. Great price and good tasting results.

  • My stomach loves this!
Flavor Name: Original Size: 32 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I love coffee but it never liked me so I never drank it very often. My cousin, who lives on our farm with me, can drink coffee so actually this was for her. I decided to try a cup and was shocked that it did not upset my stomach at all! I can now drink coffee as often as I like and no stomach upset. I only bought this because it was cheap. My cousin puts so much sugar and cream in her's that cheap coffee works for her. I drink my coffee black and the taste is great. It does not taste "cheap" at all. Where has this been all my life? ... show more
