    • Alkaline water filters
We drink alkaline water. It's good for your body, and alkalinity tends to keep you healthier and safer from viral illnesses and cancers, according to the research. Whether you believe that or not, the water is very good. We use this and a large Zero water, and the children drink the water, preferring it both over bottled water or, of course, the chloirinated spigot water. We buy the filters in a 3-pack, and I'm not sure if they make a Universal filter, but looking, and based on the sizes of the others I've seen, I was unable to find a size that was interchangeable. The filters are about 30.00 a pack, for 3, and arrive in 1 day. We like the pitcher. And we will continue to buy the filters. ... show more

    • Good taste but a few design flaws
These filters are very expensive but the water tastes great and 1 filter gets you about 300 glasses of fresh water or 3-4 months. It would be nice if there was a way to keep track of that on the picture. The filter gets ruined if you let the water level drop. So I have to keep my pitcher near the sink, so for every glass poured, I have to pour a glass of tap water in. A bit of a pain. Also the design could be better. There is an inner cup which drains through the filter and into the pitcher. If you pour a glass of water before it all drains below, you will be pouring unfiltered wanted along with the filtered. It seems like a design flaw. They need to put a lip on the inner cup, so it doesn’t pour. (Think about kitchen gadgets like fat separators which have lips) I have worked around this by remembering to pour my glass of water first before refilling the inner pitcher. Also the lid design is odd. It is handy to be able to lift the hinged lid to pour more water into the filter compartment but the body of the lid isn’t secure and sometimes slips off when you are pouring a glass of water too quickly. I would definitely buy this again. I have found work arounds but it seems the design team should make a few modifications moving forward. ... show more

I normally like these filters. They filter the water quickly, are not outrageously expensive, etc. Unfortunately a 3-pack I purchased a few months ago had a broken filter and of course it's the last one I opened to returning is no longer an option.
