I bought another tower charger, so now I can charge two batteries at a time. Charging all the batteries on the machine took too long. By charging two batteries at a time, it is much faster.

You know, I purchased my leaf blower some time ago. Fully anticipating I'd enjoy it and that, soon, I'd be owning my own home and using it on my own property to satisfaction and contentment I and my neighbors could all enjoy. After some moves and some years, we can collectively let out a well-deserved sigh of relief as that has come to fruition. Not all was well initially, though. At some point in one of the moves, the leaf blower's battery charger took to self-autonomy and declared itself sovereign. Where the original battery charger resides today and at this very moment and is anyone's guess- truly, only God knows. But I do hope it is working well and being treated properly while not in use. LOOKING FORWARD, came this EGO POWER+ to save the day shortly after realizing the need of. And it worked perfectly. The yard becomes more manicured everyday and the leaf blower stays working. Pros: 700W charges a 10A battery in about an hour. I'm pretty pleased with that. Automatic fan runs to keep battery cool while charging. Cons: The smart app is garbage, it does not configure the charger to use my home WiFi. Some flavors of phones/routers mustwork, but not my pixel/netgear combination. It's supposed to tell me when my battery is done, but it just doesn't work, and was obviously not tested sufficiently. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My charger died and I couldn't tell if it was because the battery light blinked one bar red, being over discharged. Got this new charger and it worked immediately! Sweet.

This charger draws 180 watts when charging. This means the battery will be charged more slowly than a high wattage charger. Unless you’re in immediate need of a charged battery, a slow charge is best. Slow results in better battery life both in each individual cycle and overall longevity of the battery. The charger has a small fan that runs continuously during charging, preventing the battery from becoming excessively warm during charging; again prolonging battery life, both short and long term. Fits all my Ego 56V batteries, charges them rather quickly and quietly. Does the job it was intended for. Exactly as advertised. Very happy with it. Price is reasonable. Only time will tell how long it will last, but it is worth the price.
