  • 1st Time Not A Charm But 2nd Time Worked Like A Pro
The media could not be loaded. I was really disappointed after I used and only had one chick out of 12. So I read the directions again and put in 9 chicken eggs and 3 duck eggs praying it was me the first time. Well it was I got 8 chicks and 2 ducks out of the 2nd batch and was excited. This was my first time ever trying to incubate so on the first try I didn't fully read the directions and understand how it all worked. If you are knew to this don't let the 1st round disappoint and you give up. Keep trying due to I think as newbies we are the ones messing up and not the product itself. I did use the cartoon it came in to make sure to keep the temp. regulated. I keep my house so cold and they suggested that in the directions and found that was helpful on my 2nd batch. For a starter this is a perfect product to use. I will be upgrading to a bigger one by next year. The pure enjoyment of knowing I made those babies was the best. ... show more

  • Reliable incubator worked well
I waited 21 days to review this incubator I must say I am impressed. Temperature sometimes would lower or raise .1 degree but nothing too serious. I never worried about humidity and this machine still managed to fully incubate and hatch 10 out of 11 eggs (not incubators fault) I believe the turn wS every 3 hours instead of 2 but it still worked pretty well ... show more

  • Hard incubator but you can do things to make it work
The media could not be loaded. ** Edit** My 5 eggs hatched and I do like the more clear plastic to see what's going in the incubator. Vidoe of a hatch & Pictures of chicks, they dry decently! I am leaving this at 3 stars because of all the adjustments I took the time to make. It took a week for me to get all the kinks worked out. I do personally like this one compared the the more oval one I have. I will edit this review once I hatch. First off download and print the instructions because the sheet that comes with it is pretty useless. Secondly, the water bottle set up to the unit are also useless. So messy water every where and no way to control the humidity. This is long but worth the read if you want to make this cheap incubator work for temp and humidity. Here is what I did: 1. Buy a hygrometer 2. Get a sponge and cut it 1/2 and place right next to the hole where water comes in from the tube. And connect the tube but not the water bottle. 3. Plug in, add your hygrometer and let it run for approx 2 hours to see how much natural humidity you have and to see what the real temp is. 4. If you need to adjust the temp do so and recheck in an hour. 5. Once the temp is where you need it to be then adjust the humidity by using hot and I mean hot water by squirting in a tiny bit through the tube where the water bottle should be. If you use cold water you will get major temp fluctuations. 6. Personally I would run the unit for at least 24-48 hours meeting all the temp and humidity required before putting eggs in. As for the automatic turner..... I don't know what measurement of time they thought they used but it is not every 2 hours. Another thing I didn't like was that it does a full 360 rotation and I found a lot of my eggs were in the same position when it came full circle. I am a newbie so maybe that doesn't matter but it did to me so I also hand turn 2x a day. So I would suggest marking your eggs to keep an eye on them. I will update once we get to the hatching process. ... show more

  • You need this incubator!
I don’t have enough space for all the positive things I want to say. I’ve hatched four batches of chickens and have a batch of quail eggs in currently. I’m a beginner and have zero background in all of this. It was super easy set up and assembly. So easy to use. Directions simple and clear!

  • Not very good at all
We have tried duck, geese and chickens. Out of 20 eggs we have had 1 chicken hatch. The duck and geese eggs we had came from our duck and geese nest. We put some of thier eggs in this incubator at the same time Our birds had some in thier nest. The eggs in the nest hatch and the ones in the incubator dud nothing. ... show more

  • Works great
Works good for incubation. I wish it had a better system for humidity but this way works good enough. Hatched all but one egg.

  • Low end bargain buy
The only thing you can control with this unit is temperature. Humidity is a guess. Water flows in from the little hose but filling the bottle and flipping the little dish to resume water flow is always messy. The turner is effective and temperature fluctuates up or down by one degree Celsius. Oh, no Fahrenheit option. Overall a decent system. I hatched about 50% of 18 quail eggs I placed in it and it took 20 days. So, proven to hatch at expected hatch treats for shipped eggs. ... show more
