I bought this robot kit for my five year old son. It took about 3 hours for us to put it together, step by step much like a lego kit (there were over 100 steps!) He lost interest a few times, but kept coming back to it. Once it was together, it was very exciting to watch it move via remote control. My son was very proud of what he had made and that he could make it move. Only the tracks move, not the arms, but you can make it spin, go forward and back. My son would like other kids to know that it doesn't work on carpet, it will do a face plant and have an arm fall off when it falls (the arm can be snapped back on). It works best on hard surfaces. Worth the money. My son had it assembled the same day he received it (this does have some very small pieces) and has been playing with it and showing it to his friends often. All the kids have fun with it. Well worth the price. came packaged good. The seller is very nice and contacted me before it arrived and told me what to do if there were any problems but there were none. My 12 year old grandson is very computer savvy. My son told me this was a little too basic but he'd love it anyway. My grandson is already building raspberry pi systems, I am not familiar with that system.

Bought this for Christmas and we're just getting around to building it. It's nice and fairly easy to assemble however it turns on but doesn't move. This defeats the purpose because my son cannot play with it. Unfortunately we missed the window of return. There should be assistance beyond the return window as the seller should keep in mind these items are for children and when the item doesnt work the children are disappointed. ... show more
