  • so versitle!
My 9yr old loves this!! I got it for him before we went camping so he could catch little bugs. When we got to the campsite we realized they had crawfish & frogs too! This habitat full of water held 10 crawfish at one point. No leaks! It's also held grasshoppers and any other kinda bug he's found. I would highly recommend to anyone who likes to catch & release bugs! The little magnifiers around the habitat are awesome too! ... show more

  • Fun for Little Ones who Like Bugs
My nephew loves catching bugs and critters in the yard. This tank is perfect for him to look at them and the locking lid makes it hard for them to escape.

  • This is so much fun! Holds water too
I got this for my grandson for Christmas. Now that the weather is warmer he’s had a chance to use it and he loves it. We had some flooding here and the creek overflowed. When it receded it left a little pond in the field by his house and there were some small fish in it. He and his sister were both thrilled to put a few of them into this container. It holds water that’s for sure! They love it. I guess I’ll buy another one so they can each have one. They are 9 & 10 years old but I have to say, my son got a kick out of this too. Honestly, when I first opened the package in December I was thrilled with how big it is and the magnifiers just add to it. I couldn’t wait to give it to him. I guess you could say it’s good for the whole family.... it made all of US happy 😊 ... show more

  • Habitat for wet or dry creatures
The habitat is a gallon size rectangular hard plastic with 5 magnifying spots and a cool slide out rotating feeder. Great for dry or wet environment. There is a lid with a handle for the kids to carry. The lid also has small air holes for the creature to breath. Since we lived in the city we decided to use the habitat for a beta fish. The gallon size is roomy and the fish is happy. The kids can watch the fish up close using the magnifying circles on the side of the habitat or on top of the lid. They like to slide out the feeder, load the pellets onto feeder and push it back to dump the food. We have not used the habitat as a dry environment yet but can easily imagine the kids using it to study bugs, butterfly or frogs later on. It's portable and light weight for the kids to carry on their future outdoor explorations. Given that we are using the habitat as a wet environment we are not sure if it's safe to carry the habitat using the handle. We carry it using the base only. Not sure if the number of air holes on the lid is enough for the fish so my husband unscrew the 2 magnifying circles on the lid as a precaution. ... show more

  • Kid can pop off lid.
I like it. BUT THE LID WILL POP OFF UNDER KID PLAY.

  • Great with only one issues
The quality on this is great and lots of attention was made for the operation except one big glaring mistake. The lid doesn't lock in! So as soon my kids pick it up the lid comes off. If it weren't for that issues this would I would recommend to all parents with little kids who love the outdoors.

Grandkids love scavenging for "roly polys" and watching them in this "terrarium". They've added dirt, sticks and leaves to watch them move around and have had lots of fun with them. The only problem is the top lock doesn't always work the way it should. Sometimes u think it's locked on tight and but then it's not. But overall it's s nice bug catcher and durable too. Kids loved the little magnifying spots to see the bugs up close. ... show more

  • Great for catching and viewing critters!
We love this habitat! It is sturdy and large enough to put one or several critters in, in addition to plants, dirt, and whatnot. My 5 year old found a some sort of insect pupa outside. We put it in the habitat and about a week later, got to see a moth emerge. It was pretty cool. Both my daughters enjoy catching what they can and putting it in here to observe. We also love that you can feed what is inside without having to reach in. ... show more
