Description

The Edelbrock Performer Square Bore Air Valve Secondary Manual Choke New Carburetor features a two-piece, all-aluminum construction for cooler operating temperatures and less warping. It is designed and calibrated for good street performance and fuel economy in 402 CID and larger engines with the Edelbrock Performer manifolds. There are no gaskets below the fuel bowl level for fewer leaks and no plastic parts or power valves to blow out. The Performer manual choke carburetor includes both timed and full vacuum ports for ignition advance. The carburetors use easily changed metering rods for precise tuning. The Edelbrock Performer covers the replacement or repair of the product only and does not cover the cost of removal and installation.

Cant go wrong with the simplicity of these edelbrock carbs, my favorite thing to do when getting into a new project is throw the holley in the garbage & bolt one of these on & go. Simple adjustments, quick starts & instant throttle response. Been using these for years & love them!

    • New carb failed in less than 2 months
Bought this for my 1970 Chevelle 396 mid August 2024 in preparation for going to Goodguys Ft Worth Tx. Car ran well for the month before my trip, but failed the first day at the show. Carb flooded my engine causing it to stall. Tried to start it again and it would not start. Further investigation revealed the carb was leaking into the engine to the point of locking the engine completely up. Pulled spark plugs and raw fuel gushed out when turning engine over. Called Edelbrock and they want me to open carb up to investigate issue before I get warranty support. Very poor customer support. ... show more
