This duvet cover is not soft at all. It’s actually very rough. I have washed it 3 times and it’s still scratchy. I’m not a fan. It also acts like velcro for pet hair. Straight out of the dryer there’s still fur on it. The colors are great and I really like the pattern. It is also well made with sturdy seams. But, when I don’t want to sit on my bed because it’s rough and scratchy, that’s a no for me. 10.12.2022 Update: I used this from Nov 2021 until about Feb 2022. It’s been washed many times and it’s finally soft. I just put it on the bed for fall and it’s been very cozy. I changed my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars because it’s finally soft and it has held up to weekly washings without showing wear and tear. It still attracts fur but that’s what I get for having multiple cats and dogs. ... show more

I love the tartan plaid, but something is odd about the fabric. It is supposed to be 100% cotton. Feels like it was treated with something -- uncomfortably stiff, feels almost like it was waterproofed. Has to have been treated with some chemical. Unwelcoming feel of the fabric. Definitely too expensive for the quality of the fabric and the manufacturing. It was difficult to get the duvet into it also -- as if the inside of the fabric had some resistance. The print is laid onto the surface and the underside/inside not -- the dye did not penetrate. Maybe it's the dye that causes the fabric to not feel like cotton. Very disappointing. ... show more
