The approved process for finishing our quality flannel sheets is an 8-leveled brushing standard. The cotton yarns are woven, then brushed 3 times on the face and once on the back, the fabric is then colored and or printed and finished with 3 additional brush treatments on the face and 1 on the back. This process ensures a comfortable, very soft and cozy finish. Sheet set includes one flat sheet, one fitted sheet, and two pillowcases (one for twin sizes). Sets contain a fully elasticized fitted sheet to prevent slipping from your mattress and ensure a perfect fit. These flannel sheets are the perfect complement to your favorite Eddie Bauer bedding- mix and match for your own unique bedroom look. Sheets are preshrunk and machine washable for easy care.

These are not quality at all. I got the queen and they don't fit quite right, kind of like they are the seconds. and then after 3 washes it started to fray and is now falling apart (will upload pictures shortly). There must be two versions of these sheets being sold. It's the only explanation for the difference in the 5-star reviews and the set I bought. When I first opened the package, they felt so coarse that I went back and read the reviews. There were a few bad ones, but mostly high ratings. I thought washing them might bring the nap up, but no. These flannel sheets are fantastic, especially for the price. They are definitely heavier than previous sets I had and I think they are very soft. I typically use percale sheets, so compared to those, these are much more cozy. Comparing these to my percale sheets in winter is like night and day. These are much warmer and hold the heat in, even with just a quilt on top. I am always cold, due to a thyroid condition, and my husband said he woke up in the middle of the night to me sleeping on top of the covers. Which is not usual for me. I'm the person who sleeps under a quilt all year and adds a second or third one to my side of the bed in winter. I actually liked these so much I purchased a second set! I have to say that these are the best flannel sheets I've ever owned! As soon as they arrived, I washed and placed on our bed. They are a very thick, soft flannel so they are very warm, soft and inviting. Also, the fitted sheet has deep pockets so it fits our 15" mattress well with room to spare. I don't have to tug and fight trying to get it on the mattress. The flat sheet is nice and oversized also allowing a good drape on both sides of the mattress ensuring that both me and my husband are covered well. I bought two sets (queen) of these. They're into their second winter now. They get better with age. I see people complaining about "small defects" and "wrinkles". Really? These are bed sheets folks. You sleep on them, you roll around in them, your dogs may even sleep on them. What's the problem? You aren't going to frame them and hang them on the wall. I'll buy a couple more sets of them, just to have in reserve in case they decide to stop making them. Don't listen to the whiners. Buy with confidence. They're worth the money. ... show more

When these sheets came up on Amazon. I was instantly thrown back into my childhood. I didn't known if I dreamed it or if I really did have a set of penguin sheets when I was maybe five years old.
