My 5 star rating is for the scissors only. They are great, but the stand came broken. My daughter wanted so bad the scissors that we couldn't return it. My husband glued the stand but it doesn't look good. If it wasn't broken the stand with the scissors would look beautiful. The seller should protect the product better for shipping (bubble wrap all around). The product came in a box with just a plastic bag protecting it, so if the box is not handle with care, the stand will break very easily. Or at least write FRAGILE on the box. ... show more

The scissors are good. They are sharp enough that they do not wrip up the paper and they do not get stuck in eachother when trying to cut. I would reccomened this prouct just for the scissors. The rack on the other hand, if your counting on that thing make sure you order superglue, wood glue, some duct tape, dry wall screws, and every other product known to man while your here! Ok, not really but be warned: You WILL be preforming surgery on this before you have a chance to get anywhere with it. I have been fighting to keep it together since i took it out of the package. As soon as i fix one peice, it falls apart somewhere else. I think ive managed to convince it to stay standing....for now. If you want to make sure you can use the rack figure out what you need to glue metal into wood. And invest in some wood glue for the other peices. ... show more

    • Quality is Questionable, Really Meant Just For Kid Crafts

Like many, I bought these scissors for my own personal crafts, and am disappointed. They really shouldn't advertise these with pictures and descriptions of adults using them for crafting and projects, because they certainly aren't very on par with adult crafting quality and I hesitate to use them for projects needing to look professional or of higher standards. These are mostly for children and maybe teachers showing kids how to use these for younger school projects. Our little girl is much too young for scissors just yet, but if these can last that long with just minimal use from me, she'll probably end up getting them. The finger holes are definitely meant for kid fingers and hands, it is pretty cramped for adult fingers and the hard plastic (would have been lovely to have it as a silicone covering instead) WILL hurt you with continued or after any extensive use beyond a very minor project. The blades and scissors themselves are of rather questionable quality... a good majority of the scissors have sticky blades in the sense that the plastic hinges are sticking.. making the scissor harder to open and close and results in shaky use. It is sad, because if they all worked the way that some do and opened smoothly, it could be something you are willing to overlook. Unfortunately, the issue seems to be there for most of them and only a few working smoothly. The holder they come in is absolute rubbish, it broke while I was still taking it out of the plastic wrapping they put over it, clattering the whole unit to the floor with a resounding bang so loud that it woke our daughter from the nap I had just put her down for (there goes my crafting time!). As for cutting, some of these do cut quite clean, but a few do "eat"/tear paper (yes, I tried on regular printer paper, medium paper and cardstock). I will attempt to remedy this by cutting through some foil to see if they maybe just weren't sharp enough right out of the factory or not. Overall, I wished these were cheaper because of these issues and faults, and I also wished the company made an all-inclusive set which had all the shapes in one set vs. needing to purchase different sets and looking through them to make sure you are getting unique blades you still need and not simply a bunch of doubles. ... show more

I have used these scissors through 3 class projects with all five of my science classes, and so far they are holding up well. I was worried that they would break easily or that the turntable wouldn't last, but so far so good. Sixth graders are tough on all my supplies, but these scissors have survived without any breakage and they work well, too. ... show more

These scissors are well worth it! I love all the different designs of each pair. I do bullet journaling and I use paper scraps to decorate with, and these scissors give nice edging to my paper scraps.

I bought these to keep in my classroom for the many craft projects I do throughout the year. Probably too tricky for little kids but fine for upper elementary. But I plan on using them myself.
