I am an artist and when I saw these were HB pencils I thought why not give them a try since they are eck friendly and the look fun too. The lead is steady, I have not had any troubles sharpening any of them, they erase well, and I get an added benefit of having a pop of color on my pencil. There is no eraser on the end of it which I personally prefer since I sue my large erasers and fine detailing erasers for most of my art anyways. These were a hot item in my kid's class last year - everyone wanted one! They have a really pretty, almost pearl-like coating on the outside and a beautiful rainbow effect inside. They hold up really well, sharpen well, and write well. They don't have an eraser, but I prefer to add the pencil cap erasers anyways. ... show more

These are such cute pencils, my daughter really likes them. They write well and don’t break very easily. They don’t have erasers on the ends which I realize it shows in the pics. It’s totally my fault that I didn’t see that before I ordered so I wouldn’t take off stars because of that. But I personally think they’d be better with attached erasers. I got these pencils because of the pretty colors. I didn't expect the quality to be so good. The lead is so smooth when writing and it doesn't dull too quickly. They sharpen to a nice point very easily with my electric sharpener. There are many people complaining about the lack of eraser, but you can easily buy a separate eraser to use. Usually the erasers that come on the pencil are crap anyway. I will definitely be buying another pack for my Journaling. This is more than just a writing tool, it's worth the price. ... show more

I had to buy separate easers to put on top as they do not have easers on them. They did come with a separate easer. I’m a guest teacher and the kids love them!

I bought these pencils because I liked the pretty pastel colors and the fact that they had rainbow colored wood. Also I had gotten some pencil caps from Japan so I wanted some pencils to put them on and these worked well since they didn't have erasers on them already. The pencils also came pre-sharpened.
