it was not quite square, but not round either. you could see light thru it but you can't read thru it . and you can breath thru it but it won't fit your nose, or even your face. it's made for a particular application that eludes me at the moment. but it was a right fit and a good choice overall. and then later I had the car serviced and they just threw it away ! No fond farewell, no Bonn Voyage.
