  • Good enough
Color: Light Gray
Not quite OEM equal, close but not all the way. This replaced my original console lid for my Tahoe, that had the Chevy standard cracked corner. Chevy plastic has a tendency to dry out and crumble in to pieces and it was time to replace it. There was some various options out there but I settled on this, after all, they all seem to be the same thing. When it comes to the closeness of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), a lot of sellers claim to sell their products as OEM parts, but they are in fact not. Most parts from Amazon and other places are aftermarket auto parts, which is made by third party companies which is based on OEM part designs, so they look in comparison much like the original and should fit the same but is not an original replacement part. On this one for example the main difference is the vinyl, it is textured and slightly off colored but close enough to the rest of my interior, especially since now the rest of the interior is much more faded and worn compared to the console lid that now is replaced and very new looking. The vinyl is also not secured the same way as the OEM part that is both hot welded and stapled in to the lid, this vinyl is only stapled, it does feel about the same as the original. The lowered center of the lid is un-textured and has absolutely no grip to it whatsoever, so whatever you put down on top of the lid will slide around like crazy unless you adhere a grip-mat of some kind, I bought some grip-mat that you would normally use for your utensil drawer in the kitchen, cut it to size and glued it on with spray glue. Another difference is the inside of the lid, this comes without the elastic-band documents holder, I was however able to reuse the original and attach it to this one, not hard at all, one plastic clip did break fairly easy upon reinstalling the back cover though so be careful, it is still a cheap part with crappy plastic. Installation was extremely easy, no need to remove the entire center console or another person, but if you are not custom fixing or repairing things some help from another person doesn't hurt. But it really is easy on your own, just move the seat back fully and just push the pin out and grab it and pull with a pliers. replace the old hardware with the new hardware that is included and push the pin back with the pliers. Use your old lid for reference, it does look very similar to the original, just some minor differences. So, that said, should you buy this, well, compared to an actual OEM part you are getting a very close to the OEM part likeness and feel to it part for much, much less money, quality wise good enough, I mean it is not like the OEM part is that much of a higher quality to be honest. And if yo can take the elastic band and transfer that over to this part you are good to go, if you have a pristine looking interior already, I doubt anyone will notice the difference. Unless this cracks or breaks to soon I will buy this again. ... show more

  • 2003-Tahoe Console Lid and arm Rest
Color: Light Gray
I don't usually write reviews, but this one surprised me in many ways. First the price was fairly good but when I got the unit the quality was a surprise too. We got the package and my son installed it in just a few minutes. I did not realize how much I use the arm rest until I was able to use it again with the new one. I highly recommend this item! ... show more

  • Looks great
Color: Dark Gray
Very nice replacement at a great price. It's a tiny bit different than the original in texture and color but only I would notice. Can't speak to the durability but it fit my 2005 Silverado perfectly and solved my problem.

  • Jump Seat Console / 2000 Chevrolet Silverado
Color: Light Gray
The lid was exactly as described, it arrived on time, and it was installed within 45 minutes. Careful time was taken to remove the old console and rebuild the latch mechanism. The lid worked perfectly when it is opened and closed/latched.

  • Console top
Color: Beige
This matches nicely and was easy to install. Old one broke at the hinge and sharp edges could cut passengers in rear seats. This is a affordable solution.

Some reviews said it was a tricky install but I found it very straight forward. Took about 5 minutes from start to finish.
