This gel is medium weight in the jar; it feels moderately thick and heavy in your hands and between your fingers. It is slightly difficult to use a Denman brush with it in your hair, but just fine with a wet brush. But once it dries, it’s completely light and you can’t even tell the gel was there. I have medium density, normal-to-high-porosity 3b+3c, very fine hair. I use CurlSmith Weightless Air Dry Cream as my leave-in conditioner. The first time I used the Eco Styling Gel with Olive Oil, I used the normal amount of leave-in conditioner. I put the gel on and I noticed two HUGE differences in how my hair turned out: 1. My hair got a cast much faster and it air dried noticeably faster. 2. My curls were much more defined and my hair had much more movement. It was shiny, the curl clusters moved freely, when I shook my hair, and it was possible to style when it was dry! I usually wear a head band or a clip, but when I removed my head band after wearing it for hours, my front curls were still formed and looked great. The next time I washed my hair, I put in my leave-in conditioner and then rinsed out some of it, so that it would add up to a much lighter application. I added the gel as I did the last time, and WOW. My hair was COMPLETELY air dried in about four hours. Here’re the differences I noticed between the first time and the second: 1. My curls were better shaped, with les leave-in conditioner and more Eco gel. 2. My hair had much more volume. 3. Styling was easier, every day. 4. The style did not last as long, before I needed a refresh or re-wash. Regardless of losing a couple of days between washes, Eco gel has changed my hair game. This container is a great size for travel. The container does not leak. The gel is a very nice consistency. I like that it does not leave my daughters hair, sticky after recitals and we can brush the gel through unlike other product. Easy to use.

I love this hair gel! I've been using it for about 20 years now! I order it all the time. This is a product that is one of my favorite go to items for my hair. Very easy to use it saves my hair from flyways every single time. It says flake free but it will flake up in your hair with continuous use if you do not wash it out EVERYDAY. So, I co-wash my hair a lot and it works just fine. Never had any issues or problems with this product. I only wish that it was more organic. 🙄 There's a challenge on YouTube where people do eco styler hair gel vs. flaxseed Gel. Some ppl say you cannot tell the difference but I just don't have the time to make my own hair gel right now, so this will do. It used to cost five dollars for an 80 ounce tub where i used to live but since moving to Hawaii, I haven't been able to find it out here anywhere. So, I order it off of Amazon, even though it is way more expensive, sometimes I catch a good sell. Also, over the years, I have cut my hair numerous times, and because this hair gel helps your hair to retain moisture it also helps it grow faster! This is my biased opinion and mine alone. I can not speak for others. But this stuff has really helped my hair experience growth quicker than normal. I tell everyone I know about this hair gel. It is truly amazing. Also, I mix it with a little water. But it NEVER gets too hard in my hair. It's perfect. The clear, original one works best for me. Below are all pics from this year of different hairdos I do often with my Eco styler hair gel only. MOST of the time, this is all I use in my hair. (Besides olive oil and trader joes tea tree tingle shampoo and conditioner... not much else touches my hair). Gel has a great hold but I don’t like the texture it adds to my hair. It’s not very heavy either which is great because I thinner hair.
