I tried the lavender deodorant because I wanted a healthier alternative to the aluminum-based anti-persperents I had always used. I was skeptical... but it works great, and I love the scent! With that said, I should note that I would call myself a low-to-average sweater, so I don't think I really needed to use an anti-persperent for all the years that I did. So I'm not sure how it will work for heavy sweaters... And although it feels fine under my arms, I didn't like the residual feel on my fingers, even after washing my hands. So I started to use a small cosmetic spatula to get it out of the jar and spread it around, which works just fine. One thing that led me to this product was no baking soda. It lasts for me a good 12 to almost 24 hours depending on my day. I use a little makeup spatula to dip it out or you could use a popsicle sticker whatever you have handy. Indeed, it is a little difficult to spread, but I find if my fingers and/or armpits are wet It goes on easier. The fragrance is light and dissipates quickly for me. I love citrus. I struggle finding effective body deodorant (I sweat a lot) and while this is not an antiperspirant, it does not allow for body odor to develop for a good 24 hours. It does leave a visible white residue if you do not spread well enough but i dont mind it since it does such a good job at keeping you odor free. the smell is not the best smell but it is also not sickening (which a lot of products are). I’ve tried so many natural deodorants, and this my favorite in 10 years. I also think Fatco does a great job, but here you get twice the amount and I like the Coconut fragrance better. Glides on easily, smooth, and no skin irritation. Works well all day long!

I have been buying this for quite a while, and it works well. However, lately, the mixture has been very grainy and hard to dissolve. Not sure what has happened, but the mixture used to be very smooth.

I get a rash from the baking soda natural deodorants, although I have to say that they work as well as any of the standard commercial products. I've tried about a half-dozen of the non-baking soda variety and have been using a certain brand for a number of years. I just switched to Eco Roots, and it's definitely the best. Very few, all natural ingredients. Keeps you dry and smelling 90% sweet (No non-baking soda deodorant is 100%). I like the scents-not too strong, not too weak. I was always skeptical of more natural deodorants until recently when my vegan sister proved to me how well they work these days. I tried this brand originally on a whim and have never looked back. I wear this deodorant every day and it does a great job with both odor and sweat. Like most natural deodorants, it does not last for days on end but it does last a solid 24 hours and I absolutely love the smell of it. It goes on easily on most days and I never have any irritation from it like I do aluminum based deodorants nor do I experience any dryness of the skin in my armpits. My only nitpick about it would be that in cold weather it tends to bead up some and takes longer to spread but that is such a small issue and wouldn't happen if we didn't keep our house so cool in the winter. I absolutely love this deodorant and quickly got used to using a cream deodorant over a stick and have been so happy with it. ... show more
