The media could not be loaded. You got a bunch of boys in the house that don’t listen? You got a Type A personality? You got organized chaos? You want to know everyone’s schedule in the household? You want to listen to your audiobook while cooking? Maybe watch a video while, follow a recipe, distract that 3 year old with Netflix? GET THIS! First off, it has facial & voice recognition. Secondly, you can set up multiple profiles to include children’s profiles like any other Alexa device. Thirdly, you got pups or cats that do some wild stuff when you’re not home? It has that camera to check on them with (WITH A HIDE SWITCH - & you can turn off this feature). I originally got the extra long cord to come with it, due to the reviews - I don’t know where the heck people were plugging this in at… the ceiling? The cord is about 5 feet long…. I did not need the extra connection 😅 NOW YOU KNOW The calendars - 🤤 I HAVE MY APPLE - read that again APPLE 🍎 calendar hooked up to it! You can utilize outlook, Amazon, Apple, Google, etc. PERFECTION! Audible - it plays me my audiobooks! CAN I GET A HECK YEAH!?!? Music - it will utilize my Apple Music subscription, Amazon, (I believe Spotify if you have one- but I don’t), etc. TV Streaming - Apple TV, Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc. This thing is weirdly faster than you’d think it would be. Now I use it for organization because…. Wait for it… DRUM ROLL!!!! BOYS DO NOT LISTEN WHEN I TELL THEM 15 times when I’m leaving town… & I need them to see it in the kitchen via my Apple calendar notification with the F words (Alexa gives the **- no fun 🙄), but then they get the hint. My Ticketmaster links up & shows the start time of the concerts - such as Zach Bryan so they know to LEAVE ME ALONE. MAMA NEEDS A BEER BRING MAMA CHOCOLATE etc. Do they listen? No… we are still in the training period after a few months, but we are working on it. 🫣 The shopping list is very handy because you can have the app in your hand when at the store or just order it in the Amazon app. The To-Do list is a great reminder as well! I have the Type-A personality where I can’t help but be organized & it was between this & the Skylight & I’m happy to have gone with this due to the extra features. Now let’s talk money - the value when it comes to this… you got when of those old echo dots from 6 years ago laying around? Did you know that you can trade that in, get the 20% off deal (they run it occasionally 😉) & get $$$ for that echo dot? That’s what I did & it made it worth this investment for me! Because, it is the most expensive calendar I’ve purchased 🤣 The instructions it comes with, are NOT helpful; BUT do not fear! There are YouTube videos! There is one on there that will walk you through the set up to make your homescreen look like mine if that’s how you like it. Or if you pause my video - you’ll see that hitting the home button brings you to it as well. You just have to pull the widgets (Home Screen - right side, but pull to the left) out to the middle & no more touchy! Waaaahhhlaaahhh. I like to see it like that instead of one big picture. To all the moms out there who can’t get their baby daddy’s to listen - I feel you. I’m with you. May our book boyfriends always be a reprieve. From one millennial to another, the sayings we learned in elementary school about them going to Jupiter to get “stupider” - the representation of it is truly accurate. Xoxo ... show more
