This is a really nice moka pot. The principle on how they work is same across brands. The differences is in the smaller features and materials. Pros: Larger size. Says 12 cup, which is the largest I have seen. These cups are expresso sized cups. It makes like 1.5 regular/large sized cups. I really like the black colored base. I dislike seeing discoloration on a stainless base. Some people however like the used look. The lid has a small knob rather than a flip tab for thumb. Seems a bit thicker and sits snug in the pot. This could be a pro or con depending on your preference. For me it was a pro so my thumb doesnt accidently pop the lid up. Cleaning: These moka pots I feel are much easier to clean than my French Presses. Once all coffee has brewed and you are ready to clean it out, just twist off the top and the grounds can be easily popped out and either thrown away or composted. Pressure release valve: The valve on this one is slightly different than my previous pot with no moving part. So far, I have never had this feature come into play. Handle: Nice handle that stays cool even after brewing. It is similar to my French press. I did however like the rubberized, ergonomic handle on another brand of moka pot I owned slightly better but, not a big enough deal to not want me to purchase this pot. Overall, I am very happy with the size, quality of the pot. It makes a good cup of coffee if you are using good water and freshly burr ground beans. Enjoy! ... show more

I like it! Once boiling, the 4-cup Diego turns about 225ml of water into coffee noticeably faster than my old aluminum moka pot (175 ml capacity). Who can argue with "more coffee faster"? It's easy to hear when the brewing stops so the coffee can be removed from the heat and enjoyed before being subjected to too much heat. My first coffee was quite yummy. The handle remains cool when brewing coffee on my ceramic cooktop. I'm replacing my old moka pot because the plastic moonroof became unmoored from its mounting screw, resulting in coffee spurting thorough the lid. ... show more

It is of course a Moka pot - not an "espresso maker" as it says in the title; the steam pressure does not reach the level of an espresso machine. It is a good moka pot, but has a few issues: 1) don't use the "reducer" 2) don't use too much coffee/pack it too tightly What happens then is that the steam exits through the safty valve and the threaded connection between boiler and container. ... show more

    • Disappointing Experience with the Easyworkz Diego Stovetop Espresso Maker

I recently purchased the Easyworkz Diego Stovetop Espresso Maker, and unfortunately, my experience with it has been far from positive. While I had high hopes for this espresso maker, a few major design flaws have left me frustrated. First, the threads on the base are extremely difficult to screw into the top. Every time I try to assemble the pot, the threading feels stiff and rough, making it a struggle to get a secure seal. This not only wastes time but also raises concerns about long-term durability as the threads seem like they might wear out or become damaged over time. Secondly, the lid has a metal knob that becomes painfully hot during brewing. This is an absolute design flaw. If you want to check on your brew mid-process (which you often need to do to prevent over-brewing), you're risking burning yourself. The knob gets so hot that I had to use a towel or pot holder to lift the lid, which is just inconvenient and dangerous. Lastly, the bottom of the pot features a large lip that traps coffee grounds, making it incredibly difficult to clean. No matter how thoroughly I try to scrub, coffee residue always seems to get stuck in this lip, leading to a grimy buildup and making the overall cleaning process a real hassle. It’s clear that cleaning was not a priority in the design. All in all, I cannot recommend the Easyworkz Diego Stovetop Espresso Maker. The poor threading, dangerously hot lid, and difficult cleaning process make it more trouble than it’s worth. I will be returning it and looking for a better-designed espresso maker. If you want something to look good on the counter, this is it; if you want to brew coffee, look elsewhere. ... show more
