  • Works wirelessly with Switch, PC, Android, and iOS
When I first opened this controller and was reading the instructions, it said to connect to PC to use the cable and didn't give any further instructions. But I found that if you press B + Home button when you first turn it on, it goes into Bluetooth mode and can be sensed by your PC's Bluetooth and can connect that way. It worked great for me and while it does have a little lag, its not bad at all. The instructions it comes with are pretty comprehensive as to how to access the different modes and set it up with different devices as well as program the special buttons. Overall a nice controller that works wired or wirelessly on PC. ... show more

  • Great controller, using it for Smash
I initially had modest expectations for this off-brand controller, but decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised by the performance and feel. It paired with my Nintendo Switch with no problem and works just as well as the official controller. Obviously the feel of the buttons is slightly different but much better than any of my other off brand wireless controllers (I have two others). The sticks have excellent tension, and there's no noticeable input lag. The customizable lighting effects are a cool bonus. The kids clamor to use this controller. It's a great, more affordable alternative to the name brand. ... show more

  • Drifts
My son got this because other controllers were acting up and not working correctly. He did not like this controller because he said that the buttons are too close together. The inner buttons were closer to where one grips. He also was complaining how it was drifting, moving without any actions being perform with the controller being used. I never seen him get upset on a new controller before. ... show more

  • Did in by the D-Pad
Pairing the controller was a bit weird. When I first tried to pair it to my Steam Deck as a Switch Pro Controller, I followed the instructions in the booklet and pressed X + Home. Instead of showing me 'Pro Controller' like one might expect, it showed me 'EasySMX 9124' and it would fail to pair or connect to the device. Next I paired in Android mode (B + Home) which game me a generic gamepad under which neither the screenshot nor home key was mapped. I deleted that pairing and connected in what the instruction booklet claimed was iOS mode (A + Home). This registered as an X-Box One gamepad and the home button worked now. In both of the prior modes I did have analog triggers, which is the only downfall of Switch Pro controllers in my mind. Finally, even though I do not believe it is mentioned in the instruction booklet, I deleted the X-Box pairing and started pairing mode with Y + Home. This showed up as a Pro Controller, as had been expected with X + Home, and allowed me to pair as such and the controller was now working like a proper Switch Pro Controller. Weirdly, when I deleted that pairing and tried X + Home again, this time it came back up as 'Pro Controller'. This time it would claim to pair but then disconnect after five seconds or so. Deleting everything and going back to the Y + Home pairing method allowed me to reconnect and stay connected. The controller came practically dead. It lasted for about 10 minutes of light prodding before it needed to be charged. It does list a 600mah battery, which is smaller than what most of its competitors claim, but it should still be good for hours of gameplay, particularly if you turn the LEDs off. It does not seem to time out and auto disconnect. This is the only third party Switch Pro controller I've tested recently that doesn't auto disconnect after 5-10 minutes of no input activity. The sticks are not particularly grippy and it does not come with rubber toppers like many controllers do these days. I played the following games for a few hours to test the comfort and various inputs of the controller. Golden Axe for Sega Genesis on Retroarch and Hot Wheels Unleashed and Lost Castle on Steam. The controller is very comfortable during extended play sessions and I believe will accommodate most hand sizes. It's pretty close, ergonomically, to an official Switch Pro controller. As noted above, I believe the hats on the sticks could be a bit grippier or, if not, include some rubber hats to help with this. It didn't really cause me noticeable problems in my time playing with the controller. The sticks, triggers and face buttons all worked well. There are four macro buttons on the back and I found M3 and M4 (the bottom pair of the four) to be very well placed for me to use with my middle fingers. The top two were awkwardly placed for me, but most controllers only come with two back buttons so having two very usable ones is a bonus. They also come mapped to A, B, X and Y by default, as well. I'd say it's easier for me to access X via one of those back buttons than via the face button. Finally, the bane of most third party controllers, the D-Pad. A good D-Pad is very important to me, as I play a lot of retro games and prefer using the D-Pad if that's what was used on the original system. Many companies seem to make it an afterthought in their design and quality control. Unfortunately, this bites the EasySMX 9124 as it has so many others. The D-Pad does feel pretty good. First impression was that it was a little tight but should register presses precisely, and that is exactly how it played out in-game. The Up, Left and Down functionality was all good. However, there were many, many times playing Golden Axe that it missed one of my Right presses when I was trying to double press to run. This caused me to take quite a bit of unnecessary damage and frankly I lost faith in the controller being able to do what I was telling it to do. If I was out of combat situations and just milling about testing it, then I could get it to work reliably if I applied extra force. I am a grown man with considerable grip strength so I feel that any input on a gamepad that requires me to exert extra force is just too much. This problem aside, the D-Pad did not have problems registering diagonal presses, though the same extra force issue applied when going to the right and up or down. The EasySMX is a passable Switch Pro controller. If it had had no problems with the D-Pad, I would have given it 4 stars for being somewhat quirky but otherwise comfy and reliable controller. However, it is a bit stressful to play retro games with a D-Pad that you can't always trust. It's certainly not the worst D-Pad of the controllers I've been testing, and over time it may loosen up and not require what I consider too much force for reliable behavior. ... show more

  • Rainbow crackles
Connecting this controller was a bit of a pain, but after I got it, it's super responsive. My six year old is obsessed with the colors and plays with this controller a lot. The battery lasts a good amount of time also.

Paired easily with my Nintendo switch. The light up modes are so awesome. Feels good to use the buttons and joy sticks. Very happy with it and it's a great price.

  • surprisingly good controller - low input lag on Switch
The media could not be loaded. I had relatively tame expectations for an off-brand controller, but thought I would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised with how well this controller works and feels. It pairs easily with the Nintendo switch and seems to work just as well as their own controller. The sticks have great tension to them, and there is really no noticeable input lag. I like this much better than the standard Joycon controllers, and the lighting effects are actually pretty cool and easily changed. Great and more affordable alternative to the name brand. ... show more

  • Paired easily, works great, looks AWESOME!!
The media could not be loaded. I got this for my son and he said it works great and he LOVES the way it looks! He said there's no drift and that it paired easily with his Switch and works as well as the name brand remotes. It came with its own USBC charging cord. Definitely recommend this!
