Before getting into the review, let me just say that I have bought easily more than 100 various USB controllers over the last 3 years. I buy them to be used with setups I sell to friends and acquaintances. The version of USB controller I have purchased the most has been XBOX wired controllers like this one. I have purchased variations of the same setup from multiple different sellers with prices ranging from $13 to $20. With that said, this one is by far the best one I've ever purchased. Since there are no CONS to this controller, let me go into the PROS given my experiences handling a good 50 other XBOX wired controllers I've purchased. - THE BUTTONS: They are properly seated and solid. By that I mean when you shake the controller, there is no chattering that you would hear. Other ones on Amazon for around the same price sound like a box of Tic Tacs when shaken due to the individual buttons being a short distance away from the rubber stops on the circuit boards. This issue with other controllers leads to failed presses of the buttons and also makes the controller overall loud to use. - THE CASING RIGIDITY: The controller casing feels more sound than others I've experienced. There is no give when trying to squeeze or twist the casing body in your hands. The plastic of the casing is either thicker or more supported within, or is made from a better quality plastic blend than competitors. - THE CASING FLUSH: The two-piece casing is entirely flush whereas I've had other controllers where the screw holes didn't match up properly or the cast was slightly off. This caused the casing body to be slightly off making some sharp casting ends of the controllers stick out ever so slightly as to annoy you when playing. They also had a tendency to creek because of this. Not with this one. It's solid! - RUBBER GRIPS: I don't think the maker even needed to have these, but it's definitely a plus. They aren't just for looks as they are very functional over conventional XBOX controllers that tend to slip in your hand when your palms get a little sweaty. - ANALOG SENSITIVITY: The analog buttons on this controller had a nice gradient of intensity especially in FPS and driving games. Others I've had have been as bad as having three settings of sensitivity being 0%, 10%, and 100%. It was a major pain in the backside trying to stabilize aiming in an FPS when the difference in speed goes from 10% to 100% with just a millimeter of movement. This controller has no problem with it. - DRIVERS (software): The controller paired with my Windows 10 gaming rig faster than I could realize it. It happened so fast that I actually thought it didn't happen as many others I've owned took a second or two to be recognized. No further setup was required as this really was a Plug-n-Play controller. - PRICE: Like I said (over and over), I have owned dozens upon dozens of these types of USB XBOX controllers. This one is in the same price range as many others that are inferior to it. Overall, this is a solid and precise controller. Gameplay is far less frustrating when you don't have to destroy your thumbs trying to zero in on an opponent or finding yourself distracted by the sound of chattering buttons. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The EasySMX wired gamepad screams Xbox 360 alternative controller, with some things to like, and some things to dislike. In the hands it feels just about the same wight and orientation wise. The buttons have more of a clicky feel vs the comfortable stable soft depression feel of the actual Microsoft 360 wired controller (full disclosure from my personal point of view I am not sure if I like this better, or not). The rubber grips at both the left and right side are something I do like a lot. When your hands start getting a little sweaty I think the EasySMX gamepad is much more comfortable to hold. While the grips on the side are a nice touch, the analog joysticks are pretty unimpressive. I am not a huge fan of how they feel and how slippery they are under the thumbs. Some better grips would be appreciated (and you can purchase grips for relatively cheap). The issue with purchasing grips, is by the time you do, you’re closer in cost to having just purchased the 360 controller, but continue reading. While it emulates the 360 controller in feel (for the most part) and appearance, it does not work with Xbox 360. It does, however, work with PS3…So if you’re someone with a PS3, but want that Xbox feel, here you go! I am a PC gamer and like to have various gamepads for the PCs so the aging PS3 compatibility means little to me, but beware before you buy, if you are buying it for the (also aging) Xbox 360, you will be a sad panda as it will not work on your 360. Weight and construction: It is a few grams shy of the same weight of the 360 controller, making it feel pretty accurately designed… I mention this because I’ve had my fair share of cheaper $8-$10 range gamepads that just felt…well cheap… because they were. Durability is on point and there is enough quality to match the actual 360 controller I find myself using it pretty happily. I do want to point out the listing on Amazon shows two different weights. One may be including the USB cable. 220G or about 7.7oz, and 8.8oz or about 250g. Full disclosure I didn’t weigh it either way to confirm, I just real world tested by holding the 360 controller in one hand, and the EasySMX controller in the other. Installation is simple enough (from a PC perspective at least). I plugged it in, and was good to go. Everything worked fine and as intended. There is a turbo button, but I have never been one to use a turbo button. If that is a selling feature to you, there you go. To me it is comparable to the 360 controller which I do love. Standing the test of time is key for me. I have in the past had controllers that were poorly made with poor construction (particularly the analog sticks) and I can say I don’t feel that away about the EasySMX gamepad. The only recommendation I would make is lower the price to about $15, or apply better grips. I feel this could make it a stronger competitive alternative to the actually licensed Xbox 360 wired controller, especially since compatibility with the 360 is non-existent. The bestselling alternative is the ZD T Wired, for almost the same price as the EasySMX. Just food for thought. ... show more

I have been using this controller for about a week now. I was looking for a cheap controller to use when I play games on the pc. I dont play a lot, but I just cant get into the keyboard controls. Keyword here is cheap. It just wasn't that important of a purchase, and certaintly not a "need". The EasySMX game controller was less than $20. The xbox ones are $50 so sounded like not a huge risk, and besides I thought anything I got had to be better than using the dumb keyboard. I have to say I was impressed from the second I opened the amazon box. The controller comes in a very nice package, it felt and looked like there was a lot of care put into my purchase. I took it out of the box and immediately started using it. There was no learning curve as the controller worked just like my xbox controller, the controlls were all the same. Feels great in my hand, and the joysticks and buttons respond the same way. This is really a great purchase without spending a lot of money. By far it exceeded my expectations.
