Works with all the great emulators and works immediately with Windows 10. Also works with a lot of different online video games that can use a controller layout for gameplay. Easy to setup, have not tested the extra features such as the turbo button that much. Rechargeable batteries are best for longest lifetime of playtime. I use SunLabz Smart Battery Charger with a pack of AAA and AA, this controller takes two AA. Everything in my room is pretty close I had no issues and I was pretty sure I could be further from my PC. Here's the short version: if you're looking for a well performing and easy to use wireless PC gaming controller, you've found it. Buy this one and have no regrets. Longer version: I've used many of controllers from Logitech, to wired Xbox controllers, and Stratus XL series. The only controller that even compares to this one for me is my wired Logitech one and that's only in how the design fits my hand. This controller is excellent. Looks sleek, feels great, and most importantly works like a dream. The Stratus controller has a few known issues when using it for Steam games that I've only ever been able to work around by having it plugged into a USB port (defeating the purpose of why I purchased that one). This EasySMX lives up to the name as it works as soon as I plugged the adapter in. The range is more than enough to play from anywhere in the room, works simultaneously with other controllers being used for multiplayer games, all the buttons feel responsive and smooth, and when the controller turns itself off there is no issues with turning it back on and picking up right where you've left off. ... show more

    • Great controllers, but one came broken

*******Long review ahead, starting with some pretext.******* I bought 4 off-brand Switch Pro controllers a while back, and was using them as my home's primary gaming controllers. They work great on the Switch and my HTPC, and I absolutely loved them. Quality controllers, but there was one major flaw that came at no fault of the controllers themselves: Bluetooth. You see, I have a pretty in-depth understanding of the Windows operating system. I've written some programs, spent hours upon hours tweaking and tinkering with the registry, and generally know how to find workarounds to some of Windows' most frustrating issues. But with 2 young children at home (ages 4 and 6), I finally got fed up with the shoddy Bluetooth support in Windows 10, particularly when it came to the controllers. They paired fine to the computer, but once you turn them off, you either had to furiously mash the buttons for literal minutes straight to get them to reconnect, or you had to manually disconnect them and repair them with the PC. Not an ideal solution for a HTPC in the living room, especially when it comes to connecting multiple controllers at a time, or spreading the controllers out between the living room computer and the computer in their room. That's where these controllers come into the mix. Finally fed up with dealing with Bluetooth, I wanted wireless controllers for the living room that had a dedicated wireless 2.4Ghz dongle. And after searching around for a while, I settled on these ones. Off-brand, so they don't cost an arm and a leg, but glowing reviews praising them on how well they work. I took a chance and ordered 4 of these controllers. Once they arrived, I quickly ripped open the box of the first controller, plugged in the wireless dongle, pressed the "guide" button, and viola! Paired instantly, and recognized instantly in all of my games. They're XInput controllers, which is important for me because I recently started playing Gauntlet: Slayer Edition, which only recognizes XInput controllers, so that was a nice touch (goodbye x360ce!). The controller feels pretty heavy compared to those Switch Pro controllers I mentioned earlier, which is not a bad thing at all. Makes them feel sturdy and well built. The ergonomics of the controller was a bit jarring at first, but I've quickly become accustomed to them, so no issues there. There's no off button, but both thanks to the AA battery requirement (I have literally dozens of unused rechargeables laying around - #parentlyfe) and the fact that they turn off themselves after a few minutes of inactivity, the lack of an off switch is actually fine with me (my kids never turn the Switch Pro controllers off, and those ones don't power off automatically when paired with the PC, so this was actually a huge win for me). Opened up controllers 2 and 3 next, and tried to pair multiple controllers to one dongle. No dice. Not a big deal, and maybe I mixed these up with another controller in my research, but I thought I read multiple controllers could pair to one wireless dongle. Just putting that in case that was these controllers I read that on, to clear things up - 1 controller per wireless dongle. So I plugged each of the dongles into a single computer - all of them work great, pairing instantly and instantly recognizable without any configuration. Awesome! Set up the games (emulators) in the living room to use these instead of the Switch Pro controllers, and they're ready to go. Now when my boys want to play a game, they just grab a controller, hit the guide button, and they're ready. Sweet! Honestly, up to this point, these are an absolute win! Great quality, excellent PC support, and some QoL features that just made them so much better to me than any other controllers I've had besides the wiimotes we own. Fast forward a week later, and the 4th controller is still sitting in the box untouched. The other 3, out in the living room, I sat here in my office, ready for another round of Gauntlet after finishing up some work. But instead of getting up to get another one, I finally opened the 4th one. Plugged it in, paired it, started my game. After a couple of minutes of gaming, I press the left trigger, but nothing happens in the game. Strange. I pressed it again. Still nothing. Weird, the controller seemed fine. No rattling inside the controller, the trigger offered the resistance, but the game wasn't picking up the input. So I figured maybe it was an issue with the wireless dongle. Unplugged it, pulled the battery pack out to turn off the controller, plugged the wireless dongle back into the computer, and powered on the controller again. Still nothing. So, I decided to take apart the controller to see what was up. Teardown was quick and simple, albeit a bit messy compared to the Switch Pro controllers. But once I got everything torn down, I quickly realized what was going on. The triggers in the controller use a sort of hinge, so when you press down on the trigger, it pushes the hinge down, where the controller recognizes the input. And on this 4th controller, the hinge was disconnected because the little plastic peg that joins the two sides of the hinge was busted off completely. Now, if this controller was used for a while before this happened, or if there would've been rattling inside the controller before I opened it, then I'd chalk it up to possible damage from my kids or during shipping. However, neither of those things were the case, which leads me to believe this was a quality control issue, as the part had to have broken before the controller was assembled. Well, that was pretty damn annoying. I'm not gonna bother with requesting a refund or sending it back for exchanging it, because it just isn't worth the time and hassle at this point. Instead, I used a drill to drill a small hole where the peg should've been. I then used one of the screws that holds the controller together to make a makeshift peg and put some gorilla glue on to make sure it holds. I've since put the controller back together, as I did this last night when the issue arose, and the controller is working properly now, though the left trigger is a little softer than the right trigger. But it works, and that's all I really care about. Overall, these controllers are quality, they're nice. They beat the absolute hell out of dealing with Windows' shoddy Bluetooth support, instantly pairing with the computer with no fuss, and offer the same level of support as an Xbox 360 controller when it comes to PC gaming. Honestly, even with my experience, I'd say that if you're looking for a good, cheap wireless controller for your PC, you can't really go wrong with these. BUT. When you get them, open them immediately, plug them in, and test all of the buttons to make sure they work, ESPECIALLY if you get more than one at a time. If I would've realized my issue immediately, I may have actually sent back the defective one. But since it took me a little while, I didn't want to deal with the hassle of having to send the one controller back, and I also figured I could fix this with relative ease. I'll probably pick up some more controllers from EasySMX in the future, but I'll also keep this experience in mind and do my testing straight out of the box. ... show more
