Simple, fast, easy to use, and he’s able to connect with family and friends. Pros -An FM radio and flashlight are built into the phone -This phone is very durable. My husband accidentally dropped the phone about a week after we bought it and there wasn’t a single scratch on it. The phone still worked perfectly! -Can change the font size for easier reading -The call quality is amazing! My husband’s friends always mention the difference they can hear in the call quality on this phone -It’s a great size! My husband can easily put this phone in his pocket when we go for walks and it’s not too heavy Cons -The charging speed is a little slow. To make up for it, they included two batteries with the phone (so this isn’t really a con, ha!) Overall, this is a great phone and I would highly recommend it!     • Setup not intuitive but afterwards was so-so.
I really give this phone 2 1/2 stars. I payed about $65. I bought this for my father who had been using another flip phone with prepaid service from ATT. This phone requires a micro-size SIM card or a nano-size can be used with the supplied adapter. This was not quite clear in the manual but I was able to figure it out. At an ATT store I was able to get a new SIM card for $5 and my dad was able to keep his current phone number. Changing settings and inputing text for adding contacts was not intuitive and I had to carefully read the manual. So I think this would probably not be easy for many seniors. But, once you figure that out and have the settings you want in place, then it is fairly easy to make phone calls from your contacts or by using the keypad. To answer calls, you can just flip open the phone without pressing the answer (green) button. My dad thought it was easy to make and answer phone calls. It can charge using a typical micro-USB cable/charger. The pictures from its 2 megapixel camera were rather poor. 2 month update - The external display stopped working. I have to downgrade my satisfaction with the phone to 1.5 stars due to poor quality. ... show more

I I JUST HAD THE PHONE FOR 4 DAYS AND IN GENERAL THE GOODS THINGS IS A GOOD PHONE. THE TEXT SIZES MAKES IT EASY TO SEE WHAT YOU ARE READING. THE BATTERY LIFE VERY GOOD, THE PHONE SIZE IS GOOD. THE SPEAKER IS GOOD IN LOUDNESS, THE LOOKS ARE GOOD. THE BAD THING IS THAT IF YOU ARE A SENIOR PERSON AND YOUR HANDS SHAKE AND YOUR GRASPING OF THE PHONE IS A WEAK THING YOU WILL DROPPED THE PHONE. I THINK THAT THE PEOPLE WHO DESIGNED THE PHONE FORGET TO DESIGN THE PHONE WITH A STURDY NON SLIPPERY SIDE SURFACE ON THE PHONE SO THAT SENIORS DON'T DROPPED THE PHONE.     • Fabulous Phone but does NOT work with Consumer Cellular

This phone was exactly what I was looking for my 85 year old mother to use. The numbers were big and easy to feel for. The photos that could be added to the contacts were perfect for someone with poor eye sight. The volume was perfect for her hearing impairment. But sadly I had to return it because it would not work with the Consumer Cellular plan. We ended up with a Nokia flip which works with Consumer Cellular but it isn’t nearly as nice as this phone.     • It's so Basic that It's Not Intuitive

The Positives: I want a phone that can call and text. That's it. No social media. No internet. This phone definitely fits the bill; it's BEYOND basic. It can call and text--that's about it. In true dumphone fashion, this phone only takes pic that kids these days would describe as "potato-quality." That's fine by me, I don't take pictures on my phone anyway. I'm a 90s baby so the flip phone form factor is 11/10. It feels very 2000s. I also love that it comes in blue. That's about the end of the positives. The radio quality is insanely good. I'm sure this would be a great music player, although I'm equally sure the storage space is garbage and putting music on the phone would be a pain in the neck. Again, I didn't buy the phone for the music so that's fine too. One of the things I hated the most about my previous dumphones was that they all had apps installed on them that couldn't be uninstalled. Not this phone. It truly is bare bones. The Negatives: The capabilities of the phone are so basic that there's not a whole lot of room to get confused, but operating this phone is NOT intuitive. I'm a 28-year-old dumbphone veteran and this phone actually stumped me. I couldn't figure out how to adjust the display settings for the clock, nor could I figure out how to change the ring tone. Reading the manual has been no help. I actually had to consult YouTube videos to help me figure out this dang phone. The buttons make noise whenever I press them, and I STILL can't figure out how to change that either. Here's an example of the unintuitive navigation. There's a button that corresponds to "menu" but when you press it, it doesn't take you to a menu. Instead, it takes you to a screen that says "Message" with an envelope icon; you can either press "OK" or press "BACK." If you press "OK," it'll take you to your messages. If you press "BACK" it will take you to the home screen. There's nothing to indicate that you need to press the "up arrow" to scroll through your menu options! I wanted a phone for my 9 year old to be able to call and text me. This is your basic flip phone and perfect for what I needed. I thought there would be issues with setting it up as there always seems to be with phones, but I was surprised that it was actually very easy and no activation fee.
