  • Really nice sounding soprano
Color: Curved-Blue
No brainer for the money sounds excellent feels solid the pads had a professional snap to them. I have played $7,900 Selmer Paris jubilee soprano and this horn sounds at least 50% as good. Do the math. Only question is how long will it last? I noticed a couple screws were almost out when I got it but screwed them back in no problem. Check it carefully before you play to make sure there's nothing like that happening. One BIG issue no tech will work on this horn so you take your chances I'd give it 2 years possibly more if you are very careful to not drop or bang it and check the adjustment screws regularly. For a student it’s a dream horn and the case is so clever the backpack straps are hidden behind a Velcro flap ready in seconds. I got the blue/turquoise one really gorgeous color it looks more like a big name pro horn. Pearl touches (plastic) are scooped and very comfortable. This one is a winner. ... show more

  • Easy to learn once again
The instrument is great. I played this in High Sckool. Loved it then as I do now. I thought it would be hard to relearn but found it was a bicycle, easy to learn

  • It looks great! Price is unbelievable!
Color: Straight-Black nickel plated
I am a professionell Saxophone player and it is my secondary soprano instrument for the street. It is okay. With another mouthpiece it sounds good. The price is unbelievable! The intonation is quite correct. A little bit too low so I sawed one of the S-neck a little bit. So for some issues you have to be a good handyman. I bought the black one - it looks great! The audience love it! Not really great for a beginner to saxophone. The case is good. With shoulder straps! I played it now over month under hard conditions like heat and sun and it works pretty good. ... show more

  • Great value, incredible sound for the price
Color: Curved-Blue
I've play saxophone for over 30 years and have a professional selmer but wanted something to gig around and not worry about getting dinged. This by far surpassed my expectations. It's not perfect, the neck doesn't tighten into place and I added a third party thumb rest thats more comfortable, but the sound and intonation are actually very good. ... show more

  • Mine does not tune.
I have tried to tune this sax and I am unable to. May be is inexperience but I have tuned my tenor and alto this one is impossible and yes I have set my tuner to Bb. Will keep trying if unable will have to return it. Update: I picked up the instrument again used cork grease and placed the mouthpiece. After a 15 minute session out of tune decided to quit trying. When removed the mouthpiece the cork was broken. Contacted the seller who said they will give me a $10 gift card to get it replaced. Purchasing the cork costed $10 now imagine how much will a professional charge to replace it. They claim. 1 year warranty. Do not believe them, bad company bad product, worst customer service. They think this is China where labor cost is a few cents an hour. ... show more

  • Woodwind Doubler Here,
Color: Straight-Black nickel plated
I’ve been contracted with a theatre company, and the last 3 shows have had massive soprano sax parts so I bite the bullet and bought this instead of just playing it on clarinet. Here are some of my initial thoughts: 1. Right out the gate it was playable, but the lower register warbles occasionally (think it’s a minor leak with the octave mechanism) and the adjustment screws are super glued?! into place. 1 and 1 Bflat is a hot mess and I ended up added cork to the arm instead of moving the adjustment screw because of whatever glue they used on all the screws. 2. Playing through the music with a tuner (using the mouthpiece it came with and a Vandoren green JAVA reed) I was surprised at how in tune the horn is with itself. I’m working for it and listening, but it’s not terrible in this aspect. Facing seems a little far away from reed, for my liking, so I’m going to invest into a better mouthpiece and see if that sweetens this deal. 3. Pads don’t look great, they’ve got a dusty look to them, makes me think they older or the skin might crack on them. This makes me nervous, I spent 2 years working as a repair technician, and I know my mentor won’t work on these horns, and even if he did and I needed a repad it probably wouldn’t be worth it (costs about the same as the horn itself) Some keys and tone holes aren’t centered, and both necks were extremely resistant to being put into the horn (fixed that with some steel wool though). Overall, if you need something ASAP and know how to play, you can make this horn work. However, you are paying for what you’re playing. It’s fun to play, and the accessories that come with was a nice little bonus. Be ready to use that ear and make some adjustments. ... show more
