Top Amazon Reviews

  • Amazing Value
Color: Blue Size: Standard
My expectations were relatively low in light of the reviews but I am very happy overall with the packaging, delivery, price versus quality and table top itself. The packaging was a box inside a box to completely protect corners and entire table. It came with zero damage. Next, the size is big! I bought this to cover my foosball table and have had to add 2x6 boards and stools underneath for added support since it is so large versus the foosball table. It is not strong enough to stay flat where it hangs off the foosball table. It is particle board with lamenent so it may break where not properly supported. It is made for a pool table but if your "base/under table" is smaller you can create a support system to help and it works really well. I went to Home Depot and had them cut the 2x6 and they work well. I have felt pads on the wood supports to hopefully avoid damage. The quality is great. The middle piece that holds the 2 sides together is tight but if you are careful it will be fine and not peel off the lamenent top. Just take your time. It takes two people to set it up. It's so big and a little heavy you will need two people. My 15 year old daughter helped so it's not too heavy - just big. Once set up it is fantastic. Looks sharp with the blue and white and the net is good as well. The net clamps help keep everything tight. We had a separate net we are using but it's not necessary to get anything outside of what is included. The bounce is great and no issue with the seam along each side. Completely unnoticed while playing. Overall very happy with looks, quality and ease of set up versus the price. Hope this is helpful! ... show more

  • Exactly what you would expect from the pictures and description - I would buy again
Color: Blue Size: Standard
This is precisely what it says. Ping pong table that lays on top of another table, pool or otherwise. We used this on top of our pool table. Table is thick and looks very sturdy. As you would expect, you need to support the underside. There are two pieces; each has two panels that unfold. They fit perfectly. The two ends do not latch or connect (and you don't need them to). The biggest thing to plan for or consider (and true of any table like this) is any padding you want to have to protect the table it is on. For us, I had two old (but unused yoga mats - ha, what does that say about me) that we put between the pool table and the ping pong table. This protects the table very well. The table does come with a few felt tabs. But I would recommend a felt blanket or something to use. The table is great, net - solid quality. I recommend it. If you need more, buy a full table tennis table. But if you already have a table and want this to convert it. It's perfect. ... show more

  • Almost great
Color: Silver Size: 15mm
This review is for the "conversion" version of this table, that you place over another table/billiards table. I’d first like to mention that Amazon’s delivery, while quick and on time, was not so good on this. The driver called me when he arrived at the delivery address (I was out of town at the time, but my wife was there). I told the driver that I’d call my wife and she would be right out. So, I called her and let her know, and she went outside (within a few minutes) to find the table left against the garage door, and no delivery person to be found. Now, the description says “inside entryway delivery”, but was instead left against an entryway. We were hoping that it would be brought into the other side of our garage, but the driver left without any chance of that happening. My wife was pretty angry as she needed to leave for a meeting, but the item (which is extremely heavy and quite awkward for one person to move) was now blocking her door. Also, even though there was no apparent damage to the packaging, one of the plastic corner cap pieces on the edge of one of the table halves was broken. It appears that the screw was installed crooked, probably leading to it cracking and eventually breaking off from the pressure of the crooked screw. I’m reaching out to head to see if that issue can be rectified. Despite the above issues, this is a nice table that plays very well. The halves aren’t too heavy to move/place when you have a couple of able people to move them, and the net attachments setup up quick and easy. 2 things to note, and 1 that I would consider a fairly major design flaw that you should be aware of if placing over a billiards table. 1. The handle-looking things you see on the outside corners of the 2 halves are apparently NOT actually handles (note that the product listing says "15 mm Conversion Table w/ Handles". In fact, in the directions, they explicitly say to not lift or carry using the handles (see pic). Oddly, they’re actually paddle/ball holders. Design tip for HEAD: if you don’t want something to be used as a handle, maybe don’t make it look/function like a handle? Also, it would be pretty handy (pun intended) if they actually were handles… they’re in a pretty awkward spot for “paddle holders”. Other tip: don't call it a handle in your product listing. Part of the reason I purchased this is because the handle option seemed like a good idea for moving these table halves around more easily.. Now, for the bigger issue. I purchased this to place over the top of our billiards table… which works great. However, there’s metal reenforcement square bar that runs around the underside edge of 3 sides of each table half. The extra reenforcement/rigidity is appreciated, but here’s the rub (literally). The screws that they used to attach the bar to the bottom are round head screws which are not countersunk. So, they stick out, which if you’re not aware/careful, can potentially damage your table (a reality in our case). This is an odd choice, since the company went out of their way to cover the entire bottom side of the table with a protective pad backing… EXCEPT for the metal bars with screw heads sticking out. Unfortunately, our newly acquired table was damaged in this way when our teenage children placed the 1 half top too far up on the table woodwork (with the screws making contact), then slid it back off the edge to the proper placement, unaware of the potential hazard of the screws. So, I’m trying to sort out the best way to avoid this situation again (because it will certainly happen again)… - put the table cover on before placing this top on (however, the screws may actually damage the cover as well… so not sure if this is a good solution. - put some kind of adhesive backed foam over the screws, which will likely come off at some point and need to be replaced over and over (prob not a long-term solution). - replace the round head screws with flat heads. This seems like the best option (maybe)… but I’m still not sure if they’d be sunk enough to not do similar damage. - all of the above. This is an issue that Head should certainly address and that I’ll likely contact them about. So, buyer beware on that one! Enjoying it, otherwise. ... show more

  • Poor product
Color: Blue Size: Standard
Its bulky and heavy-will need 2 people Instructions are very poor. The middle connector is plastic!!! For such heavy wood boards, plastic connector is a very poor idea. Ours brook while joining the 2 boards Worse part is the net- the poles don’t stay upright because there is no support to hold them in place All the hard work to assemble is waste of time Its heavy so don’t want to waste my energy to return it!!! Stuck with it ... show more
