I've bought a lot of poop bags over the years. While I'm not I agree with the "earth rated" name, as they are only 65% recycled plastic and are still plastic bags, they work wonderfully. I tried these out because my favorite bags, made with compostable corn, were out of stock/not sure when they'll come back for my S&S order. So I ordered these. They do everything you want from a bag, and more! They tear easily from each other, they open easily (a frequent fail point for poop bags), they're thick, sturdy, and large (no accidentally touching poop while using the bag to pick it up). They don't smell and they don't leave any residue on your hands (my beloved corn ones do). Perhaps the best feature of all is the little sticker warning you that you have just 3 bags left on the roll. Why does no other company have this sticker?! It's genius. Anyway, overall, a good pick, although not the best from an environmental point of view, there are certainly worse choices out there. ... show more

I have been using these bags for a couple of weeks now, and they are by far the best dog mess picker-upper bags I have bought. I was originally looking for compostable bags, but it rains too much where I am, and I was afraid they would start dissolving too soon, so I went with the Earth Rated Dog Poop Bags since they are 65% certified post-consumer recycled plastic. Here are the pros I have found using these bags: - They have a light lavender scent that helps mask the unpleasant smell my dog happily leaves me. - They are leakproof; I filled one with water just to make sure. - They are substantial enough that you won't have reservations about bag breaking when you are picking up messes. - The inside core is cardboard, not plastic, so when you finish a roll, you are left with a tiny roll of cardboard that can be recycled. - Each roll fits nicely into my dog bone-shaped bag dispenser. - It is easy to tear a bag off the roll. I have struggled with some other brands' bags, not wanting to tear where they are perforated. - The green color helps hide what's inside ... show more

I bought Earth Rated Dog Poop Bags since they are 65% certified post-consumer recycled plastic and I like the company is a B Corp. I purchased the unscented box. The bags are 100% leakproof, durable and thickness keeps hands clean. The inside core is cardboard that can be recycled. Each roll fits nicely into a dog bone-shaped bag dispenser or my Sassy Woof bag holder. It is easy to tear perforated bag off the roll. Dark green color hides contents. don't be fooled by the "greenwashing" marketing. calling these "green" or environmentally friendly is a stretch. the only thing green about these is their color. ok, and theyre maden with some recycled plastic, but so are lots of others. they're still petroleum base plastic when there are lots of actual "green" bags made of bio plastics from plant based starches. not saying those are better,but earth rated has marketed their business as being green,when they are not. don't get me wrong... they're good bags, perhaps the best ones out there... they're thick, don't rip, easy to tear perferations, have a sticker reminding you when you're near the end of the roll, easy to open, etc. so build your reputation around that, not disingenuous greenwashing. ... show more

I have 3 dogs all different sizes. It’s the only brand that’s thick enough to pickup several poops in one bag (my dog poops alot in separate times) and hides the odor completely. Other bags are thin or the poo is visible and on top of that stinky. I promise it’s worth the price!
