I am a creature of the night who is forced to suffer through sunny days, so I use the old pirate trick of wearing eyeliner to cut the glare (and sunglasses, because why not). This is a great trick until it starts running down your face because it's so hot you're seating under your eyes, which unfortunately was part of the territory with my previous job, and then I had to worry about looking like a very depressed clown... you know, more so than usual. I also want to be precise with the application, because we all know it only takes one false move to look like you're joining the Black Parade instead of going to discuss your monthly sales plan with management. It's a struggle being professional and Goth, not least because you're walking a fine cosmetic tightrope with elderly emo and dysphoric Jack Sparrow on either side waiting for you to fall. Needless to say I've tried more eyeliners than the entire population of my small town combined. Nothing has worked yet! I always have to sacrifice something, but as you can tell from my references, I'm getting too old for compromise. So I ordered this because I like the company and maybe it would be good for lazy days. Well, turns out it's my unholy grail and if they ever stop making it I will lie outside of headquarters with my arms crossed over my chest, risking sunburn in peaceful protest. Stays where I put it, goes where I need it to, and slim enough that it hasn't turned me into gritty reboot Batman before work yet. Definitely isn’t smudge proof, but I’ve never cared about that because the actual smudge proof kind is sooo hard to get off! This stuff is a great bang for your buck and rolls on smooth.

I gave a full 4 stars, because its awesome! It wont budge, smudge, run, or flake. I love the shade, the smoothness upon application, and the price, too. Now, my reason for not giving a 5 star... it came BROKEN! I pulled off the cap, and 1½ inches fell into the sink. That's almost a month's worth of usage to me 😭 ... show more

This eyeliner goes on very smooth. The only thing is that I wished they’d last longer. I do find it’s a bit hard to take off with makeup remover, but not a deal breaker for me. Price is definitely right!

As long as your eyes don’t water at any time, it will stay put for about two hours. If not, it comes off in about 3 minutes. It is just the right amount of creamy, goes on easy and generally covers the lower lash line in one swipe. Still looking for a retractable that does stay put, that isn’t a felt tip. ... show more
