This is literally the best foundation I have ever tried. I’ve tried so many kinds, only to stop wearing them and have kept thinking foundation just isn’t for me, but not now. I have extremely dry skin, am 40 and have melasma that is pretty well lightened with my skin care. I’m fair skinned and starting to get a little redness on my chin and nose and have chronic dark circles around my eyes. I know a lot of people had bad reviews about this foundation, but it is truly amazing. It’s medium coverage which I didn’t know and it gives me a really natural look. It is very light thickness and not cakey at all, unless you put LOTS on. It lasts all day, just wears a little bit after some time. This goes on smoothly. It is not too thick or too thin. It lasts all day 16 or 17 hours. I like the way it makes my skin look. It is flattering for all types of skin whether you have oily or dry skin. There is no creasing with this makeup. I'm not huge on makeup. I got this product to use it occasionally when I go out. I do not have much experience with liquid foundation so I cannot compare it to anything ,however, I can say the coverage is nice and smooth and doesn't feel heavy. The smell is AWFUL, it smells like cheap lipstick from the early 90s.... I put this foundation on at home to try it out and could not stand 20 min because I kept smelling that scent which is super strong. I also had an issue with this foundation's packaging. While i received it intact, when I took the cap off, the foundation was inside the cap. I requested a replacement. Second item had the exact same issue. The smell was the same so I just gave up and returned it. ... show more

This product goes on ridiculously great. I use the Laura Geller Kabuki brush (highly recommend). Smooth, beautiful and weightless coverage. I'm 65, and have some wrinkles. This foundation is the first product I've used that has actually kept it's promise - it does not settle in my lines and wrinkles. Some reviewers have complained that the scent bothered them. It has a very light neutral scent when applying that goes away quickly. Nothing more than any other foundations that I have used. I have asthma and lots of scents bother me. This does not. I used the tool to order my correct shade. I was very skeptical, but was thrilled with my color choice. It matched perfectly. I've read that this is a perfect dupe for the very pricey IL Makiage, which I have not tried. This foundation is super affordable. I like this way better than the other very expensive foundations sitting on my vanity. I'm hooked. Give it a try! ... show more

    • Blends perfectly, but is a bit thin

This is probably the creamiest, easiest to apply foundation I have tried so far. I don't use a brush, just my fingertips, and some foundations are thick, hard to apply, or make your pores and fine lines more visible. Not this one! All I do is apply it to clean, moisturized skin (I like to use a moisturizer with sunblock built in), and it blends right in! It smoothes and evens out uneven skin tone and makes the skin glowy, which I like. You can't tell AT ALL that you are wearing any foundation! You can't see it or feel it. It's pretty cool. And the price is amazing. However, it's not perfect. It doesn't cover everything. After I use it, I can still see the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks, the minor redness on my forehead or the occasional tiny zit or two... Not the way my other foundation from Il Makiage does. I even tried applying as much as 4 layers of the stuff, in the hope that coverage would build -didn't work. So... I really do like it, but I don't conpletely love it. I think I might need something with a fuller coverage. Therefore today I decided to use this foundation all over my face, and THEN dot it in the most problematic areas (those with redness and hyperpigmentation) with my trusted Il Makiage foundation -and it looked REALLY good! Sometimes, the Il Makiage foundation settles in my fine lines and emphasizes them instead of hide them (I know they also came up with a blurring product, but I haven't tried it yet -it's kind of pricey)... So using both products might be the trick I need -at least for now. ... show more
