this is a good mattress. It was a replacement for my old queen mattress. Its takes some getting use to because Im use to sleeping on another type of mattress BUT this thing is really sturdy / soft. Firstly, I have never purchased a foam mattress before so I cannot compare this mattress to others in its category but I will give my honest opinion here. I purchased this mattress for my one year old. Positives: This mattress had zero smells when it opened. I opened it midday and it was completely done inflating by bedtime and I felt comfortable putting it in my child's room by night time. The quality was wonderful and it is very light. The cover was a soft material and it had great quality foam with all the proper certifications. I was pretty happy with it upon opening. Subjective: This mattress is very firm. It does not have the support of a firm spring mattress since there are no springs. It would be like putting a memory foam topper on the floor - you have that small amount of give and it is very firm below that. The top two inches are that type of memory foam that sinks as a warms up so when you roll over at night you aren't immediately comfortable and if you have any back or hip pain and need a firm mattress, I would recommend looking for something with springs - hybrid mattresses are my favorite. The 8 inch may also be just too thin. My understanding is that the thicker mattresses have a thicker layer of the memory foam. I personally didn't mind the firmness so much, although, I didn't really love the feeling of shifting in the night and this is not something that would have worked for me in pregnancy as my hips got pretty sore from laying on my side all the time on a latex mattress - this would have been much harder on me. Regardless, I purchased this for my one year old but, unfortunately, he flipped and flopped and woke up frequently for a week before I traded this mattress for the one in the guest room (a hybrid mattress), which he slept completely soundly on. I decided to return this mattress and search for a hybrid, which will hopefully serve us better. This company did try to give me a 50% return because they could not take the full sized mattress back but I told them, within the 30 day return window, that was not acceptable. They gave me my money back but left the mattress for me to keep or donate, which was very nice of them. Four stars for quality and customer service but this mattress was unfortunately not for us! ... show more

I had an Aierloom Lux Bed that I bought for thousands of dollars and my back went into complete spasm for a year. I thought the more expensive the bed the better it is for my body. Not true at all! My back pain got worse than ever. Finally, I spent weeks researching beds on Amazon and found this one had the very best ratings and results. I now can CONCUR this is absolutely the most amazing, comfortable bed I could have ever dreamed of and all for the price of $200. I was initially thinking, "Could a bed that is $200 be the support and quality I needed?" The answer is YES and 100%. If you have back pain and need an affordable bed that takes your pain away, this is the bed for you. Every person that has slept on it is blown away with how comfortable it is and what a great night sleep they get. This bed has literally revolutionized my life. I have stopped needing to go to the chiropractor weekly and now I only go ever couple of months. I use to have intense neck pain and now that my back is not in spasm, my neck pain has subsided. I don’t know if I was sent the wrong firmness or I misunderstood what “medium” was but our mattress is REALLY hard. If it was easy to return I’d be returning it but I can live with it since it is much better than the mattress that originally came with our camper.
