This rug was very easy to open and install, it flattens out after a few days and is very soft! Functionality wise, it does slide a bit sometimes but it sticks very well most of the time. I loved that it was under $100, let alone under $50. It matches the dark peacock teal of my headboard and the tie dye is modern without being too serious. I have one in the grey tones for my son’s room. The quality is a medium thin memory foam backing with a fuzzy minky furry shag. My son likes to “baby burrito” sensory seek with rolling himself up in it. So, glad that it’s pretty washable. It does get pretty heavy soaking wet & I don’t advise putting it in a drier or anything, but it does come clean with soap and water just fine. I’ve shopped around for rugs and what I tend to like coats $300& up. This isn’t of that quality, but it is BETTER than anything in the $150 range I could find. Many rugs are slippery on the bottom and require rug grip even when placed on carpets. This one didn’t need it & the corners are weighed down enough with the shag that it doesn’t curl up or require weighted items to stay flat. I’ve been in and out of furniture stores for two seasons before I settled on this style. I will buy this rug again for another part of the house. I don’t wear shoes in the house, but I do require slippers with orthotics. I like waking up to plant my bare feet onto this comfy rug enough that I sometimes forget to slip into house shoes until after my coffee’s gone. What else can I say? It does come with that chemical smell at first, but it airs out pretty quickly. I didn’t want to settle for ugly and I didn’t have to with this rug. In the right lighting I can see all the shades of dark teal, but in the dark it takes on more grey tones. It’s definitely teal green, not teal blue. For me, that’s a plus. ... show more

I love this rug. I got the green tie-dye one. It's soft and looks like sun-dappled grass! Nice to lay/roll around on. Color is true to the listing photo. I haven't noticed any significant shedding. I tried a cheaper version of this rug from another vendor, and returned it before I got this one. Don't do what I did, just get this one! It's pretty and looks like the pictures, also very soft, but is as thin as a blanket and costs too much for what it is. My son loves it, he picked it out to replace his old rug, so that's what matters. It's so much better with a 1/2 inch rug pad underneath for some cushioning. I would say get this for kid's room or for a pet, but not for a main area of the house. ... show more

I was concerned at first that this rug would be messy and it would shed its fluff, but it has been holding up very well! The rug has maintained its fluffy shape, and even though it's fluffy my desk chair still was able to roll on it smoothly. I have a cat and a dog and they love it as well for different reasons. my cat loves to roll around on it while my senior dog loves to do his business on it, unfortunately. Because of that I tend to wash it frequently, and even though it's been in the washing machine multiple times the rug hasn't shown signs of tearing or fluff falling off so it's quite durable.
