  • Worth the money
It worked good with flux core, with MIG it would be much better.

  • Best bang for the buck
I have put roughly 8 to 10 hours welding with this. It does a great job and never a hiccup. Very happy I chose to go with this one.

  • Would definitely recommend this unit for DIY and professional use.
Great portable machine. Easy to maneuver and operate. I particularly like the 6.5 ft. ground clamp and 7.5 ft. MIG gun. Makes moving around so much easier. Works perfectly using my standard household outlets. Easy to understand and learn control knobs and readout. Would definitely recommend this unit for DIY and professional use, especially at the price! ... show more

  • Quality of product
Very easy to set up. I welded 3 joints of 20" mild steel tubing. 1/8 (.125) in. wall thickness . Only stop made was to replace the empty spool.of wire. I would buy this machine again!

  • Not worth the money.
Welded some exhaust when first purchased. Sat on the shelf for a couple months. Now makes funny noises and doesn’t weld consistently. Should spent more money on something better.

  • Works Great So Far!
I wanted something compact and light weight as opposed to my Lincoln 180 Mig/flux core welder. The flux core feature works great so far. This unit seems very powerful for it's size. The kit does not come with any wire consumables, so be sure you order or pick up what you work requires if you don't already have some lying around. I was very surprised and impressed with the performance. ... show more

  • Really Nice 3-In-1 MIG, Stick, TIG Welder
This welder looks really nice and seems to be well-designed. The MIG cable is always connected which really is nice so that you don’t have to refeed the wire. The MIG cable is really long (~8) as are the two cables for stick welding. When changing welding types, rather than having to switch wires inside the welder, you have a cable on the front that you either plug into the positive or negative feed depending on which type of welding you’re doing. This welder has a really nice heavy-duty power cord. The ground clamp has a copper band that connects both the top and bottom of the clamp to what you’re welding. That makes sure you’ve got a good connection. It has three different sizes of tips and three wire feed wheels with two sizes on each one, although one of the wheels is for flux core so the sizes are duplicated on that one. I happened to read the manual regarding the wire feed because when I put the 10-pound wire spool on, it was loose. You can also use a 2-pound spool. The manual messed with me because it said the spool should feed in the clockwise direction. I knew that to be wrong because of how the wire has to feed into the wire feeder. After a little bit of confusion, I ignored the manual, and then found out I needed to flip the spacer over for the 10-pound spool so it would have some tension on it. First, I checked to see how stick welding worked. There’s a nice chart inside the welder on the access door with suggested settings. Using those settings for the size of my rod and thickness of my metal, I ran a bead. (I did have to guess at the arc force but set it mid-way.) The welder ran a really nice uniform bead with good penetration without burning through 1/16” metal. Next, I hooked up the MIG welding. I chose to use 0.035 flux-core wire. The wire fed through the MIG cable without a hitch, and I set the welder to the suggested settings. I wasn’t getting a good, consistent arc so I increased the voltage which helped. After some further adjustments, I was able to get a pretty consistent bead, just not as good as the stick weld. NOTE – I don’t think this was the welder’s fault. I think I needed to adjust the wire tension and maybe the wire speed. It’s possible I had too much tension on the wire spool which created an inconsistent wire feed. NOTE – I also was welding on a worst-case scenario. I did NOT clean my metal first. I was welding an old, painted saw blade for a weed eater. When I went to thicker, unpainted metal, it did better, although still not perfect (probably too much tension on that spool). Amazon Vine sent this product to me for an honest unbiased review. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. For a 120v welder, this did remarkably well. I’ve wanted a 110v because I don’t always have 240v for my other welder. This a quality welder with digital readouts on your adjustments. Besides the incorrect manual, the only negative I experienced was probably my own fault at an improper setup. UPDATE – I verified that the reason I had trouble with getting a good, consistent arc was the wire speed was set too high. I reduced the speed and it performed flawlessly. Truly, an excellent welder. ... show more

  • Descent quality but no TIG torch...
I am no pro welder, so take my review with a grain of salt. But I think this is a nice unit for those who want or need to weld occasionally. Not saying it couldn't be used more often, just saying, seems it is a good DIYer welder. Which is what I was looking for. It is a good looking unit, if that matters to you. Well made with a good fit and finish. I would not call it heavy duty, but it is stout enough. the connectors and ports are heavy duty, where it counts, right? I like that it runs on 120V, one of the reasons I picked it. Plug everything in and it's ready to use. So far it works as it should. It's not a big brand, but it works well. Only thing I am not crazy about... while their product title pushes it's a TIG welder, it does not come with the actual torch. It's capable, you just need to supply your own torch. They do tell you it does not come with that piece, but with TIG being pushed in the title, most people are going to expect to get everything. My point is, it is NOT a 4-in1 welder out of the box. Just kind of miss leading if you ask me. And given the price, and being off brand, you'd think it would come with everything. One weird thing... the main cord has a three prong end, but they also give you a 3 prong adapter. For what? I don't get that. Maybe I'll figure it out. Odd. Also, there is no welding wire in the box. Usually welders have at least a little wire to get your started. No welding sticks either. So you'll need to hit the store before you can use this. Overall, it is a descent machine. If you are okay with the price and no TIG torch, would recommend. ... show more
